Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum is fine, but it lacks major subjects such as Java. Language and other core. Technologies like AI. Artificial intelligence. While I am studying the cyber security. The jobs are very less in this field and so other. Emerging technology should be taught. Such as Iot and others. But practical knowledge is lacking. And specially the DSA part, that is the data structure and algorithms. Is lacking as a subject. Only different programming languages are taught and not. Completely useful to student. As the student can only. Learn the syntax of the language and not the use and its application in creating different softwares.

Placement Experience

1

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year 113200 2nd year 108700 3rd year 96200 includes student welfare fund, insurance charges, alumni association and services, exam fee, tution fees,IBM collaboration charges, personality dvelopment program and training and placement by learnovate 5000 security refundable and 2500 extra non refundable registration fees Medical claim charges1000 per year. Bus fees 30000 per year

Campus Life

3

The campus life is good, but the coding culture and the hustle culture is not there in college. Especially when I see the other colleges like Iits. Where my friends study. The its have better students that are studying all the time in the library and in my library I see the students only doing chit chat and nothing else. Even the PHD students. I see are always talking. And doing nothing on the laptops. They're just giggling and chatting. Clubs are there in the college, which is the only good part there in NCC clubs. NSS clubs. Team Lakshya, Team INA and many other, but they perform only in the college itself. And do not have the exposure of the outer world. But the club is the part I am happy with.'cause they teach us many things and I've learnt lot from. Being a part of fun.

Admission

My story is that I was giving NEET exam and I took a 3rd drop in which I scored 6:37. But could not get an MBBS College. I was short of around 11 to 12 marks. So I decided to pursue BCA. And by the time my neat result was announced, many BCA colleges. Outside of my hometown, Lucknow were already full. Or they were. Very pricey and costly. So I thought that should I should do my BCA in my hometown and I was looking for colleges. So I shortlisted two colleges that is Amity University and BBD University. And due to my good grades in 12th and 10th I got admission. In both but the Amity university was not giving me any scholarship and it costed me almost double the amount as BBD University. So I took the. Admission in BBD University. And the rest of the colleges were also good, but from. My relatives who are studying in other colleges, they gave me very negative reviews. And so I talked to the seniors. Of the respective colleges and I heard that BBD is a decent college, but don't expect any placement from BCA course. So I thought that for a graduation. I will stay with BBD. And I can pursue more things after doing BCA a job or any other exam.

Faculty

1

Some faculties are very skilled and knowledgeable, while others lack knowledge in their own subject. I know a teacher of mine. Who studies the topic one night before the class and explains it to the students which they don't understand A Masters teacher. Which is doing PHD doesn't even know about the subject. And the Course structure is six semesters. And the exam is mainly two sessions of 40 marks each and. The average is taken and the main exam, that is the semester exam is of 60 marks. Total making it of hundred marks. And. Marking scheme. Is very attendance based. That is, if a student has. Good attendance. It will likely score higher than A student with lower attendance.

Night Life

3

As I'm a day scholar, I do not have any idea of the nightlife. But some of my hostel friends say that the nightlife is also decent but the food problem is always there as the mess food is very bad. And the sports At night is very not possible due to low lights. Dim lights.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.
