Internships Opportunities

I had done my internship through Sahara news as news reporter. But it was not with the formal help of college. College didn't help us to get into internship. You have to search it by your own. But I with the help of teachers reference got to enter into it.

Placement Experience

4

It was finally last moment of my college. All were distressed that which companies will come and who will get selected. As I remember 4 companies came for my batch. They were Amar Ujala hindi leading newspaper, Creative Lipi a SEO based company dealing in Content writing, Dainik Jagran for News Reporter. Naya Savera, a news agency in ghaziabad. On an average all they offer Rs. 1,68,000. For one this figure may be Low but trust me it's all about entering into the sector. After that your performance matters. Placement Ratio was approx 60%. Rest included those who want to changed their career path or not have journalism basic idea yet.

College Events

5

College is the temple of dance floor, music, cultural festivals and everything which makes you entertain.I think for my whole 3 years every third month there was some or the other type. For instance Essay writing competition. Radio Jockey contest. Advertisement designing fest. However there were annual fests including sports event, Dancing Singing. Teacher Of the Year salutation, Student of the year salutation. Big guests were included. All the students were felicilated and winners were awarded by guests and Dean sir. Our college also invites stars. Emraan Hashmi, Anu kapoor and other famous personalities already visited.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I don't availed any scholarships or loan.

Campus Life

Campus life was good. There are nothing regarding discrimination against anyone. Our college tries to train us at every aspect. There was a sports coach who used to train students for having better performance in sports be it volleyball cricket football or anything. Ratio of boys and girls was 3:2. girls hostel were separated from boys one. Girls are highly safe unless a girl does something with her will. They are free to do anything. And frankly speaking there was no discrimination on the basis of caste sex race sect or course. All we lived like friends. Till now there is no any political party orientation of our college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are fully furnished and spacious. Airy rooms. Hostel seats are limited. There are options for single seat rooms. Double and Triple accommodations are also available. With a little change in rate. There is no raging. But 1% chance exists due to few

Alumni/Alumna

If you go to Senior students you will have to find your own traits and join that group. There are already various groups of different nature. But all of them were well connected some by face to face and some by watsapp or fb. My experience is that Firstly I was very shy in nature. So I have not talked to many first few months but day by day all changed.

Placement Experience:

80% students are placed through DME with a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA on an average which is quite decent for a fresher entering the industry. The top recruiting are for placements are Bharat Express, PR Guru, Amar Ujala, Dynamite News, T.H.E.M.E.S. Over 90% of the students were placed for internship in Amar Ujala, PR Guru, Aaj Tak, ABP News and Doordarshan. Top roles offered are journalist, content writer, anchor, film maker, and back end roles like video editor, graphic designer and many more. I personally plan to go into video editing after getting the degree.

My main aim is to become an automobile journalist that is the aspect that influenced me to choose this course. Till the date i dont feel that improvements are needed in curriculam and teaching methods. As faculty is really good in teaching and timely providing notes as it really helps students to learn effectively for theory exams and concentrate on practical skills that are needed to secure good position in reputed firms in future

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

Students become eligible for placement during their final year of college. DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
