Remarks
College is decent. Placements are good. NIRF ranking doesn't justify. College should work to get a better NIRF ranking up to its capability and should select dedicated people in the team to work on this throughout the year. Overall it's been a good experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is up to date and industry oriented. There are frequent changes every year where courses are modified according to industry demand and trends. The exams are held in the formats of 2 minors and a major. Minors generally carry 40% weightage on evaluation and majors (final exam) or end sem exam carries 50% weightage. 10 % weightage is for attendance and assignments.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are good. Many companies come to hire students in the final year of your graduation. Training and Placement cell is dedicated to place all the eligible students. Internship are also provided through the training and placement cell and most of the companies offer stipend as well. I got my internship through the college in one of the MNC with 10k stipend pm and other allowances.
College Events
The major events of the college are Utkansh and Techniti.These are generally held in alternate semesters. Utkansh is the cultural fest and Techniti is the technical fest. These events are organised by the students and some grant is provided by the college and rest by the sponsors.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible as compared to other colleges. Being a government college , tuition fee is pretty decent and standard across all other government colleges. The fee structure is different for different categories on the basis of caste and income
Fees and Financial Aid
Various scholarship are provided by the college as it is of central government. Most of the scholarship are having means cum merit criteria or caste based. Loan facility is available from banks. There are a couple of banks situated in college as well so you can just go and refer.
Campus Life
Every student has to join one of the group's NCC , NSS or NSO. There are many grounds for outdoor games like basketball , football , running track , tennis court , cricket etc.There is an indoor gymnasium as well with equipment and table tennis , badminton facilities. There are a lot of labs for practical courses.
Hostel Facilities
I have not opted for hostel as I am a day scholar. Although I have visited the hostel many times as most of our class (80%) is residing in the hostel. The infrastructure is good , there are old as well as new building equipped with play ground and separate mess.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are helpful and cooperative. They guide us through their experiences. Most of them are always up for help. They even share their placement experience with us. Alumni network is decent , past alumni often visit us to discuss current industry trends and demands to help us develop relevant skills.
Admission
Candidates have to give JEE main and get a good rank all over India and then participate in the JOSSA counseling after the JEE main result and fill respective preferences for all the college's and courses and get admit as per their rank
Faculty
Faculty of the college is well versed with the industry trends. They are rigid in some areas and flexible in others. The faculty is of different age groups and experiences. Almost all of the faculty is PhD in their respective fields from good colleges.
