Maharana Prataap College of Engineering

On the whole Maharana Prataap College of Engineering has a very good infrastructure which spacious and with lot of greenery. Academic aspect of the College is also good but they have to improve there job and placement opportunities specially in the core departments.

Course curriculum is well defined and is as per the modern requirements of current society. Exam Structure is well planned and it helps each and every student to get to a place they deserve accordingly.

Placement and Job opportunity is good for Computer Science department, IT department and Electronics and Communication Department. Placement and Job opportunity is not very good for core departments i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Lots and lots of events are celebrated annually in the college such as frehsers party, annual fest, annual sports meet, Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas and other festival party, Farewell Party. And some special events for hostellers as well such as DJ night, Hostellers night etc.

Fee structure of the college on my opinion is of medium scale i.e. not so expensive and not so cheap. Academic fees is about INR 110000/year for B.Tech. Hostel and Mess fees is combined about INR 60000/year+INR 3000/year(welfare fund)=INR 63000/year if submitted in one time and if submitted in two times it will cost you INR 5000 extra.

Only scholarship that our college offers is SKV i.e. Samaj Kalyan Vibhag scholarship which is a government scholarship for students who's father or mother is not in government job or he/she is not availing any other scholarship under any organisation. For loaning there are two national banks in the campus they provide loaning facility if fund available.

Lots and lots of extra curricular activities are performed in the college such as seminars, guest talks, workshops, awareness talks and sessions etc. Core labs are not well established specially Civil Engineering labs. Lots of Sports activities are also performed in the college such as cricket tournament. Ex. Maharana Prataap Premier League, Dental premier League etc. Football Tournaments etc.

Hostel and Mess fees is combined about INR 60000/year. INR 3000/year is also charged in the name of students welfare fund. If fees is submitted in one time no extra charge is imposed but when submitted in two times it will cost you INR 5000 extra every year.

Alumni and senior student are very cooperative. Alumni who is currently working in any company/industry guides you in how you can crack the interviews and helps you in settling in the company/industry. Seniors also help in academic and other problems.

I got admission in my college through the seat allotment process via Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). Appeared in the examination, secured the cutoff marks, and got the seat in the college via councelling.

Faculty of the college is well educated and highly qualified (excluding some trainee teachers). They all are very cooperative and helped students in each and every way possible. Each department has a group of well trained faculty.
