Likes
- I like the exposure , college has many societies - cultural, technical , musical etc
- Faculty is very supportive , they also guides you to grab opprtunities even outside the college
- Very linient environment , you can easily learn advance things apart from the college and can also participate in the outside events and hackathons
Dislikes
- Campus size is bit small, you can easily explore the while college in around 20-25 minutes or may be less than that .
- Infrastructure could be better, i am seeing the same dull building from last 3 years
- only 1-2 labs are good , rest are still having those early 20s pc and processors.
Course Curriculum Overview
Honestly the couse curriculum needs to be updated , no doubt the topics are very well designed and desribed even for the real world applications but programming has ver much evolved now and IPU is following the same syllabus from years . Many private colleges has change there syllabus, they teach language as per the current industry need . Syllabus is out dated it needs to be updated for the betterment of the future engineers.
Internships Opportunities
You have to submit the summer intership training report in the 4 semester . Don't rely on college for interships honestly, you have to do it by your own they just ask you for the internship report and projects and at the end you have to publish a research paper.
Placement Experience
Don't expect much from this college in terms of placement if you want to secure high paying job . No doubt companies do come for placement per does not offer much. And the companies that offer good package hoghers only 2-3 students . Recently i heard that Hiitachi came with only 4 vacancies and the applicants are above 150. you are eligible for the un campus placements from 4th year and the highest till now is around 16 lpa .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is like you will have to pay 1 lakh 45 thousand int first year that includes the security amount of 10 thousand rupees which will be refunded to you at the end of the course and then you have to 1lakh 35 thousand for the next three years . Also the fees might vary as because college increases its fees in every 2-3 years so you have to pay accordingly.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing. You can have exposure of almost everything . Although it's a small campus but still it is having a decent sized basketball court , a badminton court , an amphetheatre, an auditorium, canteen , and a decent sized library that have plenty range of books that you can easily issue. Apart from this there are cultural societies , technical societies, music society etc. college organize its yearly fest too along with the university fest and also organize an yearly sports meet
Admission
Honestly the thing that made me chose this college is the affiliation from the IPU. My rank was not allowing me to get admitted to the to tier college of even IPU so seen many colleges affiliated to AKTU and i found that IPU is far better than AKTU . whatever learning you get in college is not enough to secure a high paying job, you have to learn some advance skills outside the college and the liniency in IPU colleges gives you the flexibility to do that , and AKTU lacks.
Faculty
Faculties are very supportive and easiy approachable ofcourse some are horrible but yes majority of them are very supportive , even some of them are very nice that they even guide us apart from the college and curriculum. Examination pattern is like you will be having a midsem exams per semester, sometimes they take 2 midsem that of 30 marks then an endsem exams at the end of the semester. 40 marks are given by the college faculties based on the performace in midsems , assignments and all as an internal marks. And the rest endsem is of 60 marks and in order to pass the particular subject you have to score above 40 out of 100 . And this makes it very easy for the student to clear the exams and that is the reason that very less students got year backs , and even the level of exams is not that difficult as in AKTU.
Night Life
You can see some cafe's and restaurants near college. Locality is safe as the whole area is having a colleges , pgs and hostels only. You cannot hangout that much in college but you can visit malls cafe's and many other outlets oustide the college for hangout.
