Remarks
Location and ease to reach: The college is about a mile from Durg Jn Railway Station. It is on the main road beside Raipur-Durg GE road. Infrastructure and faculties and better than other colleges in the state.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is more towards theoretical and very less practical. Industrial exposure is very much required in the course. Students of BIT Durg have a good performance record as compared to students of other colleges in the state.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities are better than any other college in the state. Although due to lack of industrial exposure the passouts have to work hard to secure job in big companies. Most of the placements are in IT companies.
College Events
The Cultural-Tech Fest of thr college is named as 'Ojas'. It one of the most celebrated college festival of Central India. Participants of all over the country participate in different events of this fest. The college has a highly maintained Cricket ground used for different inter college cricket tournaments.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible as compared to other private colleges. The college fees are decided by the state level centralized committee. The candidates can opt for education loan. Any middle class family can easily bear the fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know much about that. The college has good reputation so one can easily get education loan from Banks. There is no such scholarship offered by college as per my knowledge. Although in recent years there may be some updates.
Campus Life
Labs are well maintained. The equipments and devices are good. The lab assistants are qualified and helpful. The mechanical workshop of the college is one the best in central India. Students and use labs anytime by taking permission from incharge.
Hostel Facilities
I haven't opted for hostel facility but I will rate it 3 out of 5. The boys hostel is within the campus. The girls hostel is about 1.5 kms away. The fees for hostel is no so expensive. The hostel provides 3 times meals, lodging etc. Basic facilities like wifi, LAN etc are available.
Alumni/Alumna
As I was a day scholar I don't had much interaction with seniors. The alumni network is not so active. Don't expect to get job offers from seniors placed in good companies. Although there are exceptions.
Admission
Through CGPET. It is a state level competitive exam for 12th passouts. The qualified candidates apply through centralized councelling to select the college and department of their choice. After allotment of college the document verification is done.
Faculty
Faculties are experienced. The know how to deal with students and make them good marks scorers. Many of them have papers published in international journals. They are helpful and always eager to help students.
