Almost 70% of the students in the college are girls. The college has played an important role in the educating girls around locality. The college provides all facilities to students they need. The college consists of the best faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview
Farook college is an autonomous college affiliated to Calicut University. It follows syllabus suggested by the Calicut University. The course consist of common course like English , Any second language and core subjects of B com with computer application. The students who follow the class regularly can be benefited from it and easily get pass mark. The exam are held on every 5 months ie on November and March. The course carry six semester and exams are held after each semester. After the exams in March there will be a summer vacation of two months.
Placement Experience
After passing out B com we can easily get job as an accountant. Many institutions take direct requirements from the campus. All though college didn't provide any internships but we can easily get internship opportunities in many organisations with the Letter from college.
College Events
We celebrate almost all festivals inside campus. Like onam , Christmas, eid, holi etc. Apart from this we celebrate a union day soon after the students union take oath. The event of college fine arts is the largely celebrated event in college which usually take place on January. And at the end of the academic year we will have a college day. Apart from this each department conduct events like freshers day, Each department association inauguration , Farewell party etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college is aided by the government and many courses just have a yearly fees of just above 1000. Though there are some self financing courses which carry a fee of around 10000-12000 each semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The students studying in the college can avail any scholarships provided by central and state governments or any other organisations if they are qualified for it. The college doesn't provide any scholarships on its on or any loan facilities its on.
Campus Life
The college as well equipped labs and infrastructure. The college has its own indoor badminton stadium , basketball court and 2 grounds. In most of the games like football , softball, badminton , cricket etc the farook college team is considered to be one of the best teams under Calicut University. The college doesn't provide much importance to athletics events. The college wins the zone and interzone arts fest trophy almost all year.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has wide spread alumni network named FOSA. The alumni network as its own branches in many GCC countries , Europe and America. They conduct many programmes and event every year. They also provide college with funds for development
Admission
Apply through college website and the top students from merit list will be called for admission. The students can apply for multiple courses according to their priority. If they get qualified to be admitted to multiple courses for they can choose from it and get admission for the most desired course for them.
Faculty
The college is one of the best college in the locality and have the best faculties of the locality. Most of the faculties are Phd holders in their respective subjects. The faculty are always available in college and are ready to help us anytime.
