GMC Miraj

In GMC miraj teaching is good. Also weather of miraj city is good throughout the year. But college infrastructure is old and not good. College campus is also not good. Miraj city is small city you can't get facilities present in cities like pune or Mumbai.

It is of total duration of five and half years. In which 4 and half for academic section and last one year you have to complete internship in college. There are total nine semesters. There are four main academic years present at end of each academic years medical university conduct exam.

There is internship present at college which is of one year in which you can get 6000 as stipend. After MBBS you can join as medical officer who get salary of 60,000 month or crack the NEET PG exam and do post graduation. Also there is option of private practice after MBBS.

Events are celebrated throughout year. First start with Ganesh festival and the Navratri festival which both celebrated for 10 days each. After which fresher party is celebrated. In month of march annual gathering present. Alos minor events like holi , Diwali and others festival also celebrated.

This is government medical college run by state government so fees are minimal as compared to private medical college. In year 2019 yearly fee was 90,000 rs for open category students which can hike by 10% each year.

For open category students whose income is less than 8lakh yearly can avail ebc scholarship in which half fees are paid by government. If you are reserved cast students you can get freeship in which all fees are paid by government. Also you can get loan in any bank.

Yes activities like quiz , symposium are present in college throughout the year and anyone can participate in this events. For practical labs are in good conditions. You can participate in sport events in college in month of February. In college there sports facilities for badminton and table tennis. Also can play cricket and football.

Yes I live in hostels but hostel infrastructure is very bad. You can live as paying guest outside at minimal fee as in miraj monthly room charge is less as compared to other cities. Government hostels are not well maintained and infrastructure is old.

Yes through social media all juniors and seniors are connected. During the event in college we can interact with other batch students. Also there are many groups of College alumni. If you have good connection with senior you can benefit lot in college.

You have to give NEET exam in 12th standard and get good rank. After which all India merit list is published. Getting MBBS in government medical college is very hard. In Maharashtra alone 2,00,000 try for 3000 government MBBS seats.

GMC miraj is one of oldest colleges in state. There is adequate number of good teaching faculty present in college. Teaching is good as compared to other medical colleges. There is also good clinical practice in college.
