Remarks
College campus is very clean and the environment is very good. The canteen and the cheap store is also very good. The library is one of the special attractions. The students union is also very peaceful.
Course Curriculum Overview
When I studied here, it was 1+1+1 year course. But now the system has been changed to 2 semester per year, and total 3 years course. Syllabus as per Calcutta University norms. There are so many good faculties here in Physics Department.
Placement Experience
Not so much opportunities. Many years ago during my college days our College arranged a campasing by Infosys BPO. I got job that time, but did not join. I don't know about present situation. I hope authority has arranged something meanwhile.
College Events
The college foundation day, Independence day, Republic day, Gandhi Birthday, Netaji Birthday, Eid, Saraswati puja, Rabindra jayanti, Bengali new year, Naveen Baran, Farewell, Muharram, Bakri Eid, and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible, Minimum fee structure as it's a government aided College. I paid around 15000 in three years. College informs all the dependent to circulate the news of paying fees in due time. We pay fees to the cashier.
Fees and Financial Aid
College does not offer any loan or scholarship. But State government and central government offers so many scholarship for the meritorious students and minority students. Few private scholarship schemes are also available.
Campus Life
The dependental laboratory of physics is great. There are so many equipment in the laboratory. The stadium is also very big. College arranges sports events every year. Winners are honoured by various prizes.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel facilities available here. I don't know if authority is planning for such facilities but one can easily find paying guest nearby. Thakupukur metro station is just infront of college gate. Nothing more to say.
Alumni/Alumna
No official alumni network is here. We personally made a WhatsApp group. Seniors are really very helpful. We discuss various problems of physics with them in the WhatsApp or Facebook. Satisfied with the type of interaction with them.
Admission
Applied online through college website. After few days the marit list was published and admited after counseling. The online application procedure starts after the publication of Higher Secondary Results.
Faculty
Very efficient and good professors teaches here. I would like to mention Arvind Sir. The physics laboratory is the best place which I liked most. Regular classes are taken by the teachers. Also the non teaching staffs are very helpful.
