NSUT through the eye of a student

There was a boom in the field of AI and Data science which influenced my decision to take up CSE(SPECIALIZATION IN DATA SCIENCE). Curriculum is not relevant for the current job market . Mid sems are conducted after around month from the start of semester and endsems are conducted after 4 months

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. All the major companies come for recruitment like FAANG. Highest package is around 1.8 cpa and average is around 17lpa . Around 85-90% studnets are placed . My place is same to get a good placement offer after getting the degree

First year fee is 2.5lac, 2nd year fee is 2.7 lac , 3rd year fee is 2.9 lac and 4th year fee is 3.19 lac . It increases every year . There are some scholarship for students who are in top5% of their respective branch

There are two college cultural fests resonanz and moksha . Moksha is the main one and one technical fest inovission resonanz is held in October, inovission in November and moksha in april. Classroom are equipped with smart boards and labs are well equipped with modern instruments. Table tennis, snooker , volleyball, basketball, football, tennis , cricket and athletics activities can be done in campus, some of the grounds like cricket and volleyball courts are not well maintained. There are many societies in college around 50-60 which covers almost all the interests a students can have , so there won't be any difficulty in finding similar peer group

I gave jee main exam and sat on jac Delhi counselling. There were 3 college option for boys NSUT,DTU and IIIT Delhi . I chose nsut over other because cse in nsut is considered a good option and because of coding culture as well . You can get in nsut cse through jee main and cutoff for this branch is like 99.3 percentile.

Faculty to student ratio is about 1:70. Some faculties are approachable but most of them are not so don't expect personal attention. I liked sachin Sharma sir of maths his teaching style was very interactive and was very cooperative with students . I didn't liked Navneeta mam of ECE she didn't put any efforts to teach . There are two exams in each semester mid sems and end sems most subeject mid sems and sems exams are kind of moderate but for some it's quite tough . About 5% students fail in the exam. Course is quite relevant

Gym is opened till 8 pm , library closes by 6pm and during exams it is open till 10 pm . For hostels 10 pm is the last entry time and for daily scholars you can enter the campus after 6pm . Inside campus mostly students hang out in Nescafe , safal and mother dairy. Night life is quite dead in nsut . There isn't even proper lighting in night .
