Dayanand Sagar University 1st Year boy

For First year, every branch study the same cousre so it is same for all. Subjects are not useful for future except cpps ( c programing) and oops (python). difficulty is there as marking and checking by teacher is quite hard

We do get a lot of mail related to internships which are mostly not very useful. As we are in first year so not much for us is there. 4th semsters studnets do get a lot of internship as of what I have heard.

I'm not sure but maybe from 6th semester you can apply for placements which requires 6.75cgpa minimum. highest it went like 34lps last year and average was like 5.5lpa. Around 70% are getting placed. Don't really have much knowledge about placements. My plan is to apply for campus placemnets but also try off campus.

The year wise fees for CSE core is 3.96 lkh with scholarship I got with my Jee marks that the college mentions. I don't know the real fees, only know after My jee percentile which is 84.6%tile. Other courses of B.Tech also cost the same.

They have freshers which was good enough only con wa sthat it was total south indian style. they have a annual event known as Cascades which didn't happed last year due to some reason. Library is good enough, not that huge, good enough books and catogery. technological provisions are also good enough with each classroom having Smart boards. sports faclities are there with each sports ground. Clubs are there but almost no event or working in there.

4 sharing feels too much with no AC or Heater. other than that faclities are good with self study room and sitting lobby. mess meal are good enough with 2 days non veg menu. hoetsles are expensive with 2.14lkh per year.

As my boards didn't went that good and I didn't got 75% criteria so I didn't got addmision in most of the government college, so I went for comedk exam which also didn't went that good. Got to know about Dayanand Sagar University from one of the relative. As it was a part of Dayanand Sagar college and they have combined placements so I went for them.

As for the first years, The faculty members are not that good. Most of them are having their first year in teaching with no teaching experience. As for the course structure, for first year its quite easy only with subjects like egdt, chemistry, physics, environmental science, kannada kali, electronics. Marking scheme is also good with mid sem holding 30, internals holding 30 and final sem holding 40 marks per subject.

Gyms and library is off at night around 8pm. A lot of places are restricted. Hostel timing for boys are 10pm and for girls are 9:30pm. campus timing for girsl are 7pm and boys are 10pm. There is no night life as there are so manhy restrictions.
