College Experience of NIT RAIPUR

The Curriculum of NIT RAipur is very nice , It offer a good foundation in core subject like Micro biological , Bioprocess Engineering ,And Bioinformatics which were the main reasons to join this college and the course . this subjects provide us to master in Academic pursuits and Covers the sylabus of exams like IIT JAM , GATE Etc. and students can also opt. for Higher studies , if they want .there are many seniors who went for higher studies in foreign . there are areas that can be improve as i think like giving too muvh assignment to students , because of that student only focus on Writing areas noot on skill development . many times teacher gives us warning of cutting TA Marks if a student can't able to submitted on time . just beacuse of DS assignment , I got E grade in DS LAb , because of that my spi dropped to 7.7 there should be Not continous exams in the end semester as student didn't have time to study the subject , and the syllabus is too much . the exams are quite moderate , mid sem is easier than end sem , As i think.

i am student in the first , i dont know the name of the companies but yes our college provide internship opportunities for students from like 3rd semester . our many seniors are doing internship at IITs And NITs , and many of them are doing in private sector . ,many have paid internship and many are just working for experience without taking any type of fees

the placement of our college is good as compared to prvate college it provide average package of around 11.1 LPA .and the highest package of our college in year 2024 was around 56 LPA or 57 LPA . but the placement in lower branch like us or biomedical engineering or civil engineering ,they have very less percententage placement around 20-30 % in the class and average package of around 7 LPA , so it is not too good for lower branch . students can become placement in the 5th semester . many companies visits us many are the very big companies like microsoft , amazon , google , tcs , hp petroleum. i will prepare for GATE exam as i have my aim of studying in the IITs , iam planning for Mtech in IITs after that if i didn't got placed , i will prepare for SSC CGL exam or UPSC exam for IAS . but mainly focus on GATE CSE.

At my collage, the fee structure is quite simple, even though the expenses are gradually accumulating singficcantly. As an ordinary student, I pay the amount of 70000 each semster, whuch makes my total academic cost for a year 140000, The approximate total for the four year exam is around 560000, provided theere are no major increase in the subsequent years. When we look at the detailed explanation, the biggest part of the amount is dedicated to the tuition fee which is 62000 for each semester. The last paart of 8000 is for other charges including registration, development, and lab fees. It's going to be tough road ahead, especially since the fees usually go up a little bit every year to keep up with inflation and campus maintenance. The fee structure based on category is oething i would like to highlight. My fellowmates who belong to the SC/ST catogery have a much lesser financial burden as they do not have to pay th etuition fees. Their charge is about 8000 per semester.

there are many fest like today i am writing review , we have a fest called Shruti which an musical event. and after some time there will be an annual fest called eclectika ,which is very big annual fest . last year the guest was Yasser Desai An INDIAN Singer , who has sung famous song "Hum to deewane tere". there are so many books in the library that you can't read ALL OF THEM becaus we have around 1000 books for every branch and subject. there are sports ground in our college for football and 2 volleyball courts for students if they want to play they can play whatever they want. we also have sports complex where students can play chess , badminton , carrom or other indoor games . there are many clubs run by students examples are ROBOTICS, E CELL , ICELL , MOTOSPORTS , RAGA , NRITYAM , And many social groups like NSS which is for the Social helps and tecahing the students about ethics and moral values.

i choose this college because i was not getting any high level college and i got this college as this is an College of National LEvel And Also AN goverment college .its main theme is "AN INSTITUTE OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE". i choose IIT Mandi and NIT Trichy but i didn't got both of them because of my low marks and percentile in JEE MAINS AND JEE ADVANCED Respectively , i GOt NIT raaipur at just 90 percentile in jee mains 2025 , the other college i had applied were tier 1 colleges of india whereas NIT raipur Tier 3 college . but anyways i got good college as compared to the people who are studying in private college. I Got admission through JOSAA which is an couselling site . i got select through JEE MAINS Exam , it is of 300 marks , 100 marks each of maths , chemsitry and physics . the cutoff are for general it is 93 percentile for obc is 82 percentile for SC it is 91 percentile and For ST It is 48 percentile . but it is just cutoff marks that means you are eligible to give jee advanced exam . which is used to qualify students on the basis of Marks into the IITs.

there are many proffesors in our college , i know name of few of them Dr. Priyanka Sahare(Physics Teacher ), Dr. Jaya Sharma(Computer Programing), Dr. Shweta N(Basic Bio Science ) , Mukul Chandrakar Sir (Mathematics I) , Dr, SK Patnayak (Enviroment And Ecology) they all are Highly educated and qualified teacher ,many of them are from IIT and NIT. The ratio of faculty to student is around 1:10 , teachers are good at teaching. i like most of the teachers of Our class example , I like Mukul sir most Due to his calmness , Teaching Style , His Way of TAlking , ANd He Give Us Sufficient MArks in End Semester . there is an teacher whom i dont like that IS Dr. Veddika Dhiman (Basic Bio Science LAB Teacher) , because she shout at us without any reason. she give us lots of work and didn't think about work. in our college there not exam every month but it only 2 exams every semester the first exam is Mid semster exam and the second one is End Semester . the Mid sem exam is of 30 marks for every subject , And End sem is of 50 marks and there are 20 marks for teachers assesment which is given on the basis of mid sem and assignment work. there are practical of 100 marks (30 for mid sem and 30 for end sem and 40 for TA ).

my favorite hangout is PI Chai is a place in the college An cafeteria , the favorite place for all the students they come there for relaxing and for mind fresh . they provide many items like TEa ,cold coffee , sandwhich , bread and many other tasty food at lower price to market .and we also have central garden where student sit and talks anout there day and friendly funny things and makes memories. there is also an gym for the boys they can spend there time by doing workout but there is too much crowd and it has lots of students so that it is very less chance for your turn . yes locality is safe at night , you can hangout with friends if you want . but my second favorite place is my classroom where i can sit and spend hours without getting bored , anyways this college has good students both boys and girls (at studies and friendship ) . we play cricket in our free ours with my class biotech and we do interbranch matches with civil or electrical .
