Course Curriculum Overview

4

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities are available in good numbers. Multiple companies like Deloitte, zomato, vedantu, HDFC etc. They also provide CTC around an average of ?5LPA dependening upon your performance. They even let us network with startups, companies for internship opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure is simple during the admission they charged 24000 rs yearly fees. From the 2nd year they'll separately charge fees for each semester. There is a rise in college fees yearly as students progress from their previous year to a higher year. They also charge an exam fee for each subject around 1500 rs for an average student with additional subjects like SEC, VAC, AEC.

Campus Life

My experience is very much amazing in the college. There is not just study, but various sports played, societies, ECA, events, sessions. I personally liked many societies which help to develop overall personality of a student. The infrastructure provided for me is appreciable. They are genuinely very welcoming, interesting and appealing. There are countless books in the library. There are multiple divisions for each department and subject, which help students access them easily. It's very helpful for students who prepare for exams and study. The classrooms are all installed with smart boards and the benches are all new. They even have air conditioners for Summers. There are various events organised in the college such as inter College debates, poem, elocution, placement drive, entrepreneurship, Ecoverse, etc. which are of full interest. The college has an app easily accessible by students and faculty to check and mark attendance, marks, and any other message from the administration and faculty. In short, technology is great.

Admission

I gave the CUET exam which gets you admission into central universities such as- Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University. I applied for delhi university. Based on my marks, i had to prepare a preference sheet of the college's which provided my interested course- Bachelor of Commerce. Among 50+ colleges i prepared the preference sheet. There are allocation round in which the University allots you a college. In the first round I was alloted Satyawati college i.e 22nd preference. It was on off campus so I had three options- accept the admission, upgrade your college or withdraw admission from University. I applied for upgrade and got Ram Lal College in 2nd round. It was a south campus college. i paid the fees and got admission. I could upgrade the college for 3rd round but decided not to as I was satisfied with the college. I wasn't interested in BHU as I read the reviews that bachelor of commerce was better in Delhi University.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is really appreciable. All the teachers are friendly and always stand for students. They create a bond with students with their teaching style. Not only limited to curriculum they always guide with careers, life lessons. My course is B. com (Honours). I have 3 core subjects corporate accounting, company law and human resource management in 2nd semester. These all are relevant to the course and all according to NEP 2020. There are additional subjects GE,SEC, VAC, AEC which are also being taught nicely. Mehak khan mam was a very good teacher I had in 1st semester as she used practical ways of teaching by interacting with students as much as she could. In the middle of semester a test is conducted for 12 marks which are a part of internal assessment and assignments, group projects, debates, presentation are also a part of internal assessment for 30 marks. At the end of semester there is the semester end exam of 90 marks. Overall each paper is of 160 marks and it's different for SEC, VAC, AEC. The difficulty of examination is high medium to moderate. The problem is it's lengthy. The course curriculum aligns exactly with whats required in real world. Corporate accounting, Law and management are notable examples.

Night Life

4

There is an area near my college it's a student area near to metro station. It has various food outlets, offering multiple types of food, tea etc. The area is majorly resided by students of various colleges. It feels safe to roam around at night and majority students are living in PGs. Generally the timings are upto 10-10:30 pm at night. The area is very safe and freat compared to any other place. It never gets dull and is full of life. The most famous hangout places are mostly cafes. And the tea outlets. Students can be seen after college refreshing in the area.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
