Review of MNNIT ALLAHABAD

This college is not an ordinary college it is an NIT and a college of national importance, so many students work hard to clear JEE with good ranks to get admission here. Because after getting here students get a very big platform to gain exposure and work hard and bag a placement offer of 7 digits.

For first year every student have to study same course which includes subjects like physics, chemistry, maths, English, C programming, Engineering drawing, mechanics, etc. I think this is important also for a Btech student to have a primary knowledge of every branch. After that from second year students study the disciplines of there respective branches. Course curriculum is nice here as it is a national institute of technology.

Since this is an NIT and a college of national importance so company primarily target this college for placements so as a result of that so many famous companies visit here for recruitment the figure goes around 170 per year and also average salary offered is around 7.5 lakh per annum. Except that internship opportunities are pretty good here. I have not experienced that till now because I am in 2nd year currently doing Btech.

Some of the events are Culrav, Avishkar, Gnosomania, Swagat, Renaissance, Athletic meet. Cultraral activities are very rich here and keep occurring after regular intervals of time. So many students take part with much enthusiasm in them

Fees structure are different as per the annual income of the family of student as above 5 lakh, between 1 to 5 lakh and below 1 lakh. Till this year it was one of the cheapest NIT in terms of fees structure as the annual Tution fees for between 1 to 5 lakh was merely 42 thousand. But from this year they have doubled the academic fees per semester for all income ranges.

College have a number of scholarship programmes which are based on category, income, academic performance, etc. I have not availed any of that because I have got one scholarship from Madhya Pradesh government.

Besides academics college organises a number of extracurricular fests like entrepreneurship fest, technical fest and cultural fest as well as athletics meet. Labs are also well maintained. Sports culture is pretty well.

College have 7 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. As far as boys hostel are concerned first year hostel is excellent in terms of amenities and living facilities. Beside that for other years also there are hostels but they are very old but renovation of hostels are being carried out one by one, recently one of the hostel have been completely renovated. Besides this there is a mega hostel is under construction which will be of 13 floors till now 7 floors have been constructed. So yes they are improving there infrastructure day by day.

Senior students are very friendly for any help to the juniors, any junior can interact with them freely and also the alumni network of MNNIT ALLAHABAD is also very nice, which can be helpful in order to get any internship or any research based opportunity.

Through JEE Mains examination and then after JOSAA Counselling which is carried out by central seat allocation board jointly of All IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI. firstly student have to pass JEE mains exam with nice rank in order to get admission in this college them after take part in JOSSA counselling.

Faculty are very much experienced here And have deep knowledge of the subjects they teach as most of them are P.hd holders. They taught there students in very organised manner and are always ready to solve the doubts of students
