As I have mentioned above BMSCE is a reputed college in Bangalore. The college life in BMSCE will be excellent. There are many clubs which will extract the talent in us. Special importance is given to sports also. The best part of BMSCE is its flexible college timings and there is no dress code for its students.

The course curriculum is very well prepared. BMSCE is an autonomous institute and so we have our own curriculum. Coming to the exam structure there are three internals conducted in each semester out of which the average of two best tests will be taken into consideration. The internal assessment will constitute for 50% of the marks. For the remaining 50% SEE(Semester end examination) will be conducted.

There are mainly two events conducted in the college every year. One is Phaseshift which is a technical feat conducted in the month of September every year. Phaseshift includes all technical events such as coding events, quizzes, hackathon and so on. The other one is UTSAV which is a cultural fest conducted in the month of April every year. This fest includes all events and it will be for 3 days. The flagship events such as turtlejam, whiplash, fashion show are very delightful to watch. The BMSCE UTSAV is one of the biggest fests in Bangalore.

If a student gets admission through KCET then the overall fees for one academic year will come up to ?85,000. Through COMEDK it will be around ?2,00,000 per year. COMEDK is for students from other states to come and study in Karnataka. Finally the management fees varies from department to department. For CSE it will be around ?30 lakhs for 4 years. For other departments it might be slightly lesser.

As much as I know our college doesn’t provide any scholarships to its students. Government of Karnataka provides Epass scholarship to the below income students and meritorious students can apply for other private scholarships.

The labs are well maintained with air conditioning everywhere and sufficient equipments required. Talking about extracurricular activities out college has clubs for almost all activities. For example there is a fine arts club for arts, rotaract club for activities outside college, mountaineering club for adventures, protocol club for coding and similarly there are clubs for singing, dancing and many more. Sports are also encouraging in our college as we have an indoor stadium where we can play badminton, basketball, volleyball, throwball, and indoor games such as carroms, chess, table tennis. We also have an outdoor playground to play cricket, football and so on.

There is an alumni association in the college where our college alumni come and have meetings, conduct seminars twice a year. Seniors are also highly helpful to us. They guide us in any difficult situation and also keep us updated with any information about placements and internships.

BMS College Of Engineering is located in Bangalore,Karnataka. There are three ways of getting into BMSCE namely through KCET, COMEDK and through management quota. As BMSCE is a highly reputed college in Bangalore one has to get a very good rank in the above mentioned exams to get into it. I got into this college through Karnataka’s regional Engineering entrance exam KCET. I had got a rank of 1757 in the year 2017 and got admission through KCET counselling.

The faculty are experienced and knowledgeable as well. They make the class interesting and easy to understand. They are ever ready to clear out doubts even after the class hours. They also help us in our projects and other activities it needed.
