MIET-Best College in Meerut

Well I have positive views of our college. This is the best college in Meerut. Faculty here are very experienced. There are around 3 fests in our college. Kolaahal the annual fest, Glitz the litearty fest, Rangotsav art fest.

I believe that the course curriculum is good. It is according to AKTU university formely UPTU. Though in 1st year of Engineering different subjects like chemistry is taught which is not related to one's branch but from 2nd year onwards core subjects are taught. Exam structure in MIET is not as good as in other colleges. We have to give 3 internals and 1 exaternal exam in a semester.

Placements of our college is good. The average package is around 3-4 LPA. Last year one of our senior bagged a package of 15 LPA. TCS and WIPRO took several students for the placement. Cognizant IBM HP are sime of the main recruiters.

Kolaahal, the official cultural fest of MIET is a brand in itself. It has grown into Meerut’s most anticipated moment. My experience at kolahaal was very good. We had different games ranging from Mr. MIET to Roadies and different other. The kolaahal last for three days one day is reserved for star night in which a singer comes for performance.

Fee in MIET is feasible. The fees of B.tech is 1 Lakh and twenty thousand for a year. We can pay the fees in installment 1st installment is generally of sixty thousand. We have the option to pay our fees either offline or online.

The college also offer scholarship. The students can apply for cental or state scholarship through college. The college also provides fee waiver seats for economically weaker section of the society. Through fee wavier seats students can get admission and they have to pay very less fees.

Extracurricular activities are just fine at MIET. Although MIET as its own criclet field but students go there only on sundays. Only game which can be played at the hostel is badminton. Other games that can be played here is football.

I haven't opted for a hostel but as I have heard from my colleagues, the hostel is fine the food served at the hostel is fine. Badminton court GYM are there at the hostel. The building is three storey but it is not so good.

I don't find alumni network of the pass out strong. Though senior students are very helpful on guiding career paths and even guiding us on different trainings. Senior students also help us in getting internship.

I got admission in MIET through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination. Though earlier college provided admission on the basis of 12th marks as I heard from my seniors but now the college provides admission only on the basis of UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance) Examination

Faculty of our college is good. Teachers are highly qualified and they are even experienced. The teachers are ready to help students in case of any doubts. Teachers train students on industry oriented subjects.
