Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum covers basic subjects of engineering studies, particularly in the first year. It also helps in creating a basic understanding of mathematics, programming, and basic engineering subjects. The course syllabus is more theory-based, which is good for understanding topics and concepts but lacks practical and Industry-oriented aspects. The exam is conducted with two mid-semester exams, and the marks are recorded, followed by end-semester exams and practicals. The exam is not very difficult with good preparation and notes provided teachers, it is easy to pass through moderate difficulty. However, improvements are still possible by adding more practical projects, real-world applications, and new topics related to industries.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies visiting campus are mostly mass recruiters along with a few product-based and mid-level companies. Most students receive an average package of approximately 5-6 LPA, while higher packages are offered to only a few top performers. Few seniors, whom I know got packages of 8.5 LPA, 12 LPA, and 19 LPA also, so basically higher packages are also offered but their competition is high and only some of them can make it up to that. A good percentage of eligible students receive the placement offers, mainlt in IT and service-based roles, but competition remains there, so one needs to have serious preparation on his or her own. Arond 60%+ students got placed every year from on-campuses placements. The placement cell provides training sessions and interview sessions from the third year onwards. Overall, placements can be considered decent compared to other private colleges in the region. Basically, after completing my graduation, I plan to pursue good placement otherwise prepare further for civil services after understanding career growth, however, this is not my final decision but could make a final one before the completion of course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The breakdown of fee structure is like : Tution and development fee : 1,14,000 /- per year Other fee (T&P, Book Bank, Training, etc.) : 2,000/- per year Uniform fee : 4,000/- (One Time Only) Here, you have to either opt for Bus service or you have to opt for hostel. (It is mandatory) Fee should be as follows : Bus service : 16,000/- (For Bhopal Only) / 24,000 (For Vidisha/Raisen/Sehore/Mandideep/Obedullaganj) Two Seater hostel (Including mess, Non AC) : 85,000/- Three Seater hostel (Including mess, Non AC) : 99,000/- Three Seater hostel (Including mess, AC) : 1,25,000/- You have to select any one of the facility from these four provided by the college and pay the fee according to them. So the total fee structure for college is 1,16,000/- yearly for CSE course and other fee (Bus fee/Hostel fee) will be according to your choice. There will be no change in Fee structure means no increment in the fee structure after taking admission in the college. Like as i admitted in 2025, so my fee structure is what I told and there will be no increment in this till the duration of course but if a student take admission in another year it's fee structure should be incremented like the fee will be incremented by the college for the students who take admission in next years but it will remain constant during their course time. Scholarships: There is no particular scholarship provided by the college management for any category of students. Yes, Tution Fee Wavier Seat will wave your tution fee if you achieve that seat during the time of counselling only. College will also make you aware with the scholarships run by either central or state government and if you are eligible for the scholarship, so apply for it.

Campus Life

4

Overall, my campus experience has been decent in terms of infrastructure but limited in terms of social exposure during the first year. The college organizes Garba Night around late september or during the early phase of Navratri and a Carnival in December. There are also discussions about a celebrity night after the first semester, although first-year students generally have restricted participation in most events. The library provides course-related books free of cost at the beginning of each semester for a limited duration. Apart from academic textbooks, novels, journals, and cosing-related books are also available and can be accessed using a library card. Classrooms for first-year students are equipped with Smart TVs for presentations and digital learning. The infrastructure is well-maintained, and facilities like AICTE-approved 3D lab, Drone lab, and an incubation centre are available for students interested in technical projects or startups. Students can also apply for internships in startups running in the incubation centre. However, access to these all facilities is typically allowed after the first year. In terms of extracurricular activities, opportunities for first-year students are closed. Clubs and student groups can be formed by interested students, but active participation and organization roles usually begins after the first year. Overall, campus life is disciplined and structured, with involvement opportunities in later years.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because of its consistent placement opportunities compared to other private colleges in Madhya Pradesh, especially for mass recruitment companies, while keeping the fee structure relatively reasonable. Some government colleges in the state also have limited placement exposure, whereas this college provides better on-campus opportunities. Based on my entrance exam rank, this was the most suitable and realistic option available to me. I had the aim of getting into MANIT Bhopal, but I could not meet the cutoff rank required. Therefore, considering academics, placements and affordability, I decided to take admission here. The admission process was smooth and based on JEE entrance exam merit, it's cutoff for CSE goes upto 3,50,000 rank mostwise, differs slightly every year, followed by document verification for which you have to appear physically as a person in the college.

Faculty

3

Faculty members generally try to reach out to every student. Each section is assigned two mentors, maintaining an approximate mentor-to-student ratio of 1:30, which helps in academic guidance. Most teachers teach with dedication and focus on making concepts understandable. Mr. Kamlesh Vishwakarma (BEEE) and Ms. kalpita Malviya (Mathematics-1) explain concepts clearly and ensure students grasp fundamentals. However, teaching quality is not uniform across all subjects, as aome faculty members need to improve their explanation methods, one of them is Mrs. Preeti Gupta(Engineering Chemistry) who needs to improve her notes preparing method. The exam system includes two mid-semester examinations, out of which the better score is considered, followed by end-semester exams and practicals. Notes provided by faculty are sufficient for both mid-sems as well as for end-sems.

Night Life

2

The nightlife around the campus is quite limited due to strict rules and discipline. Hostel students are required to return by 8:30 PM, and roaming outside the hostel after that is not allowed. Students can go outside the campus only before 5 PM and must return by 7 PM. Because of these timings, late-night outings are not common. The college canteens remain open until evening hours. A gym facility is available for hostel students with a subscription fee of Rs. 100 per month. The library and sports equipments are accessible during working hours while faculty members are present. Students are free to walk and spend time inside the campus premises. The campus also has basic facilities like shops, dairy and ATM within the premises. A temple is located inside the campus where students can attend morning and evening aarti. Since the campus is situated on the outskirts of the city, there are limited hangout options immediately outside the college.

Jiwaji is Government university which have a long heritage. But is now coming to the short end of the rope. Institute of Engineering Jiwaji is fairly newly established around 20 to 30 years or so. The faculty is not that great and is not that experienced and have less facilities. Faculty of IEJU is mostly on temporary payroll with some of the permanent faculty. You have entire leasure of time to yourself. So, thing other than couese can be pursued. Hostel facilities are good. If we come to exams Other than Pharmacy and Engineering all other course have tomoy scheduled exams with strict checking and scoring.
