Remarks
My overall experience from JNTU Anantapur is the best. I have learnt many things from my college than being in classrooms. The college is mainly students run in many events so that brings out our capabilities, leadership qualities, managing skills. The only drawback of my college is that we didn’t get all best faculty to teach us in our college and placements were not up to the mark.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very good but it dose not reach the current day industrial requirements and the exam structure was like we had externals and internals in every semester and we had total of 8 semesters with a total of 40 subjects and 9 labs.
Placement Experience
We had placements only from software companies that was a major drawback and internships were not provided at my time but now internship is must and my overall experience with placements is 2/5. Stipend was provided for those who were in merit and i had got a stipend of 2700 per 6 months and scholarship.
College Events
There were lot of events celebrated through the year like sports day, college day, freshers, farewell, fest’s of all the departments like EYE, RACE, PIXCL,many cultural events, technical events, convocation and lot more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee was very nominal and it was around 10,000 per year as it is a government university and that too for students who had scholarships. We didn’t had that issue to pay our college fee. We use to get fee reimbursement to overall we had to pay nothing for our college besides that in return we use to get 5,400 rupees into our account.
Fees and Financial Aid
We got E-Pass scholarship and there was also scholarship called central scholarship scheme for students and there was no requirement for college loan as literally we didn’t have any need to pay for our college and only living expenses were to be paid and those would cost around 1,50,000 rupees for all four years of our graduation.
Campus Life
We use to participate in civil engineering students association, there were great labs that were set up in British ear and well equipped with all technical instruments and machinery. We had all kinds of sports activities and everything was at its best.
Hostel Facilities
I have been in hostel for only 1 year and overall hostel fee, maintenance fee and mess fee was just around 2000 per month and we cannot expected much of infrastructure from government university but for what we have paid and what we have got is really worthy.
Alumni/Alumna
Than our professors our seniors were the one who have mainly guided in our career we had ragging in starting but that was very friendly in nature and that made is interact with seniors a lot and by that we learnt a lot from seniors. As we maintain good relations in college we had a good network of alumni who guide us well in any aspect.
Admission
We had state level entrance exam called EAMCET in that I got a good rank and there was online councelling for all the engineering colleges participating in andhra state in that I have choose Jntua college of engineering as my rank was good I got admission into it.
Faculty
We had highly qualified faculty and best professors but the problem was very few of them use to take subjects for us and the rest were contract based lecturers. Discipline was high as it was government university with strict professors.
