Remarks
When I got admitted there, it was not really a developed university. But from the time it became state unitary university, the process and the infrastructure is getting better and better each year. So, I'm pretty sure that even after leaving my alma mater for about 3 years back, it'd be in a good position.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good, somewhat out of date from the current scenario of IT industry when we were in college. They recently changed the course curriculum, so they must have added some latest technologies. But, I'm not sure about the current curriculum. Exam structure is usually 2 Unit Test of 15 marks each and one semester exam of 70, in each semester.
Placement Experience
Placements are not that great because of it's remote location. Some companies do provide off-campus placements. But it's very better than the other colleges around the area. We had one of the lowest placements in that year. But since it became the state University, the condition is now improving.
College Events
There are total 8 departments in the college, and each department has it's own event every year. It also has one technical event called cynosure, one cultural event called abhiyanta vasant. All of those events are managed by students only, keeping one faculty member on top of each event. Shivjayanti and Ambedkar Jayanti is also celebrated very enthusiastically here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it's a government college, fee structure is bound to be feasible. But for General, it's slowly increasing per year. When I was graduating in 2017, it was somewhere around 53k per year. Whereas for OBC, it was around 23k.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not sure about the scholarship, since I was not a part of any scholarship/loan facility. But, I'm pretty sure all the scholarships and/or loan facilities that were getting provided are from the government entities only.
Campus Life
You can do extracurricular activities managing the lectures by yourself. There's no such concessions for doing extracurricular activities. In case of Computer Engg department, labs have pretty decent infrastructure with all the latest configuration of PCs.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network was not that much strong when I got admitted there. But, right now, it's getting stronger every year due to the Alumni Meet that's happening yearly. Alumni are also very helpful. Seniors are also very helpful.
Admission
I got admission through CET score. I asked some of my friends and teachers about the college. Also, since it was government college, I took the admission. Process was easy, had to verify the documents from Student's section, then apply for Boy's hostel, filling up the form on student's portal, paying fees online from SBI E-collect.
Faculty
Faculty was very supportive and helpful. I personally learnt a lot from them. During the first and second year, I couldn't discuss more with them since I thought they are not that good, but it wasn't true.
