Course Curriculum Overview

5

My genuine love for the subject made me choose this course. My seniors and an ex-faculty members praised the college a lot, and thus I chose this college after visiting it with my parents. The curriculum prepares you well enough for the real world, however, at the end of the day, success depends on an individual's personal efforts. DME, undoubtedly acts as a support system, mainly because of the faculty members, and support from our Director and HOD. Exams are conducted twice - One Mid-semester (internal + PPT) and One Final (External, centre based University Exam). The difficulty is moderate, and students are generally not failed unless they have zero knowledge about the subject.

Internships Opportunities

4

The stipend data is not disclosed, but it ranges from 5k-15k as per my personal discussions with my fellow classmates. Different companies and firms come to interview students for internships. Honestly, the Placement cell just started growing during my time, so, we mostly applied for internships through college networks, and personal applications. But there has been significant growth in opportunities as of date, and the college conducts internship drives to ensure their students get best opportunities. The same data can be found on the Instagram page of the college @dmenoida

Placement Experience

4

Eligibility for placement: Final Year Companies: Karanjawala and co, Khaitan and co, AZB and partners, SAM, EIL. etc Highest Package: 11.5LPA - 12 LPA (depends on whether it is litigation roles, corporate roles, judicial clerkship roles, etc) Profiles Offered: Junior Associate, Research Associate, Judicial Clerks, Average Package: 4LPA-9LPA I am currently pursuing LLM

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around 78-80k per year as my fees. The fee is submitted on a yearly basis. Scholarships upto 50% of the tuition fee are provided to the Top 3 Rank holders. The college also offers Merit-cum-means scholarship for the underprivileged; however, the data for the same is not disclosed to ensure privacy.

Campus Life

5

Annual Academic Fests include Intra and Inter College Moot Courts, Client Counselling Competition, Law Fests, Case writing, Conference, etc. Career-Focused Events: Bi-annual, quarterly Career and CV workshops, CareerTalks, etc. Annual Cultural Fests: Aloha, Diwali Fests, Onam Celebration, etc. Classroom facilities includes ACs, Projecter, Whiteboard, desks, and space for bags. There are numerous student-run clubs, Eco club, research cell, moot court society, cultural cell. The faculty members oversee the club, but the student body mainly conducts it.

Admission

I chose this college, firstly, because of the great review I heard from my super senior, and an-ex faculty member. The location of the college was another reason. I appeared for CLAT, but could not clear it for NLUs. I cleared some other exams, but there were other uncertainities due to Covid 19 and DME seemed like a better choice (which I do not regret till date). It takes CLAT, CUET, etc. for admission. The crieteria varies over the years. The admission process is very smooth. Ms. Rimsi ensures all the new students feel at home, and explains every little thing with utmost kindness.

Faculty

5

There are 60 students in every section. There were 3 sections of BA LLB and 2 sections of BBA LLB during my tenure, 2020-2025. Each faculty member generally had a total of 150 students. There is one mid-semester exam and one final exam in every semester. The mid-semester exam is internally taken, and the final exam is a university exam, and thus we had to go to the allotted centres, just like we did in Board exams. The exams are usually lengthy, and demand a thorough understanding of the subject and the status of the society about the subject. Usually students do not easily fail the exam, it only happens if they do not attend lectures, and simply never read about the subject. The course curriculum was updated after our batch, and is completely relevant to the current day.

Interview Experience

5

I cleared the entrance, applied, and was shortlisted for the college. During my campus visit, I had a short one-on-one interview with our Director General, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh Sir. We discussed Covid 19, some notable judgments, my interests, etc. during the discussion. Sir was very humble, and gave me some space to process whenever I felt nervous during the interaction. It was because of him that it went smoothly!

Night Life

3

The college lacks internal infrastructure in terms of hostel, mess, gym. etc. It has a hostel facility available in its sister college, DTC. The faculty members also ensure that all help is provided to the students who come from other states.

Placement Experience:

Students are given internship opportunities right from the first year. As I'm already on the verge of graduating in the next two months, I've seen the faculty and management put more attention to the Training and Placement Cell. Big companies like Deloitte, HCL and Austrian Migration Lawyers like Loch Corporate have taken interns from the law school at DME. This being said, I have high hopes from the Placements as well. I plan on working in the corporate and later this year appearing in Clat PG for the masters.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements at the college are quite decent and provides students with a good platform to start their career students usually becomes eligible for placement in their final year but the college starts focusing on internship and skill development on early semester itself. This helps students gain practical exposure and build a strong cv before they sit for final placement. Usually hardworking and eligible students who focuses from the begining get placements through college after completing my degree my plan to gain practical experience by working in a corporate legal role or with a law firm to build strong skills and industry exposure the placement percentage at the college is moderate with a fair number of students getting placed each year
