Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum includes practical subjects and skill-based learning, which influenced the choice of this course. It prepares students fairly well for real-world applications and further studies by building basic knowledge and hands-on skills. However, it can be improved by adding more practical exposure, updated content, and better teaching methods. Exams are conducted regularly at proper intervals and are of moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
As the first batch, internship opportunities are still developing, with a few hospitals and healthcare centers offering roles like OT assistant or trainee, usually with a basic or no stipend. Projects are mainly practical-based, focusing on assisting in procedures, handling equipment, and understanding patient care, which help in gaining hands-on experience and improving skills.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the final semester. As the first batch, only a few companies have visited so far, with limited offers made. The highest and average packages are still developing and not clearly defined yet. Currently, the percentage of students getting placements is low, but it is expected to improve in the coming years. After completing the degree, I plan to pursue higher studies and build a career in my field.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees :180000 Hostel fee : 125000 Admission:25000 Sem exam fee:11300 Caution deposit of 20000 This structure is of per year so if I calculate it becomes 900000 in total for 4 yrs therefore is not affordable and a bit expensive
Campus Life
The college conducts annual and technical festivals once a year. The library has basic accessible books and journals. Classrooms have necessary facilities like projectors. Sports and extracurricular activities are available, and student groups help create a positive campus life.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms have basic facilities like bed, table, and cupboard. Meals are average and simple. Registration is easy and affordable. Nearby PGs and rooms are convenient for students.so ya it'sgood for now ..
Admission
I applied to a few other colleges and received confirmations from some, but I chose this college due to its course structure and facilities. I did not face major rejections; in some cases, it was due to cutoffs or personal preference. The admission process is simple, based on eligibility criteria like 12th pass with science stream, and mostly merit-based selection. The overall admission experience was smooth and easy.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is good, and most faculties are approachable and helpful. Some are especially liked for their clear teaching, while a few may lack interaction. Exams are moderate, and most students pass with proper preparation. The curriculum is relevant and useful.
Night Life
In Chennai, facilities like gym, cafeteria, library, and common areas are available and close by evening. Hostel and campus have fixed timings. Students hang out in cafeterias, nearby cafes, malls, and beaches. The area is generally safe but caution is needed at night.
