Remarks

Has transportation facilities and very nice and naturally campus.Eco friendly campus. Good infrastructure facilities and teaching. Also promote extracurricular activities and social services. Less signals for mobile phone except Airtel Sim.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is same as Calicut university.subjects include food microbiology,food engineering,food chemistry,statitics and practical sections for each.Exams are conducted under college itself because college is autonomous.2 internal exams are conducted in one semester.

Placement Experience

It is based on several courses. College provide Intership for 15 days in a year at various companies. Course like Bvoc foodtechnolgy has internship in every semester and industrial visit on every month. Also giving placements according to vacancies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Only Msc foodtechnology course is self financing. The student want to pay 23000 rupees per semester. All other courses are free.Only general fees like registration fees and examination fees, PTA funds etc

E grantz scholarship for all general/OBC students. Application form, Income certificate, Community certificate, Nativity certificate, Photo, details of bank account and Bank passbook are needed to submit for eligibility of this scholarship

Campus Life

Labs are good with all facilities. Uninterrupted power and water supply.updated machineries and chemical reagents. Sports like foodball, cricket, vollyball etc are practicing and coaching here.service of sports teacher is available. NCC cadets training are also a part of extracurricular activities.

Yes.they are helping for finding job vacancies.Alumni meets are conducted.In this year global alumni is decided to conduct on 3rd August 2019,Saturday and Foodtechnology alumni is going to conduct on 10th August 2019

Admission

Wrote entrane exam which is multiple choice based on food science and microbiology and got qualified.After that attended an interview, submitted my certificates like grade card, provisional certificate,TC, SSLC & +2 Mark list (copy) and got admission

Faculty

College has good faculty.Labs and research centres,food processing unit, seminar hall, auditorium, open stage, stadium, canteen, hygiene toilets etc Labs have updated machines and chemical reagents. Uninterrupted power and water supply.

I choosed to study msc applied psychology in kerala university. Because it offers my interested specialization ( organizational behaviour) . The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. This course have more oppurtunities in the present time as the data is increasing day by day and we are dealing with data. So we have more oppurtinities than any others. We have a special post in every fields. Course is doing only theory build up and less in concentrating the practical application side of the theory we have studied.

The best college for study

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Life at IITPKD

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
