Average College

The college is only an average College. Their main priority is the collection of fees from the students. Don't come to this college if you expect quality education and a good college life. Most of the positive reviews about the college are posted by the management itself. My opinion is don't come to this college because there are better options available.

Anna university is one of the top universities in India. So the Curriculum is good and student friendly. But the evaluation of the exam is very strict. It is very difficult to get pass in Some core papers and Mathematics even if you have written the exams very well.

Many companies will come for Placement. But core companies are very less and only a very few students get placed in core companies. Most of the companies will be insurance or call centers with very low salaries. Also the college don't provide intenship and they won't give proper placement assistance. So it is very difficult for students to get placed. Only brilliant students get placement in good companies

Since it is a professional college, the events and functions are very low. The main function is onam celebration, pongal celebration and arts day. These three events will be celebrated in a grand manner and a few programs will be organised by students also. Don't come to this college if you love events and celebration on college.

Fee structures are different for different courses. Highest fees is for Mechanical Engineering and it is Rs.80000 per year for tution fee alone. Hostel is very expensive and it is Rs.50000 per year. They also collect different fees like book fee, Association fee, Placement Fee and Special Fee. So overall the college is very expensive.

There is no loan facility from the college directly but the students will get 25% reduction in their tution fee if they have scored more than 85% marks on their 12th. You can apply for loans on any nationalised banks. Only a very few students get Scholarship from the college.

Labs are the worst part of the college. Most of the equipments on the lab are not working. Sports is not encouraged in this college. Don't come to this college if you are a sportsman. There is a football team and voleyball team but they won't get regular practice.

Hostel is good but the Hostel food is very worse. Also there won't be regular water supply on the hostel. There is no good playground on Hostel. There is a gym on hostel but the equipments are damaged on hostel. Only a few rooms are available on hostel, So 5 or more people must share a room which is built for 3 people. Also there is 2 km walk from college to hostel. Bus facility is also available from hostel to college.

There is an Alumini association but it is not active and don't conduct any programs. But the seniors are very friendly and helpful. Seniors help the juniors for finding jobs and give advice for them. Also they keep regular contact with the juniors.

The admission is based on the merit list based on 12 marks for Tamil Nadu students. Half the seats are merit seats and Half is management seats. To get admission in merit seats you have to apply online through Anna university portal and for getting admission in management seats, you have to go to the admission cell in the college with original certificates of 10th and 12.

Most of the faculties of the college are freshers with no previous experience. So the college lacks experienced teachers. Also the teachers are from Tamil Nadu, so the medium of instruction is mostly tamil. So it will be very difficult for students from other states. Also some teachers are very rude to students. They usually torture students in the name of internal marks.
