A College that made me

The college is a decent place for studies. The plus is it has an amazing campus which gives you the feel of studying at a reputed place. The placements are also decent with average package of about 3.5 lakh per annum

Course curriculum is very intense with lot of subjects over the course of 4 years. Basically the college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya technological university hence the curriculum is shared with a lot of colleges in Karnataka. The exam structure has internal and external papers along with theory and practical.

The Placements is more better for IT related subjects and inclined towards companies in the IT field. Internships used to be there but it was not arranged by college and most of them were through personal connections. I had a good experience during my internship which was at LnT consrruction machinery. There wasn't any stipend associated.

The college has a lot of events going on the whole year by different departments and clubs. We had an Annual Techno Cultural fest called Kalanjali which used to be a huge event in college. Apart from this we had separate events held by different departments like mechanical, computers etc.

It's feasible be because the admission is through CET which is a Govt sponsored seat. But in case the seat is through COMEDK than the approximate cost is about 1.5 lakhs per year. And finally management seats is a costly affair.

I am not aware about the same as I sponsored my own education by myself. But many of my friends had taken loan which was easily avail le from all major banks. Kotak Mahindra has a tie up with the college.

There are a variety of extra curricular activities that are offered like the drama club, singing club, dance club, literary and personality development club and sports is very integral. Sports day is a major event in the college with a really good sports facility.

The Alumni network is pretty long and intense because the college is there from 40 plus years. And lot of the people who have graduated are at really good positions in their lives. Yes the Alumni are pretty helpful and most of them are still connected.

I wrote the Karnataka CET exam and got a rank of 10780. I had a category 2A reservation and during counselling i selected mechanical at sir MVIT based on all the options I had. Sir MVIT was one of the top colleges in Karnataka at the time I took admission.

The Faculty in Sir MVIT are all PhD holders and people who have very good knowledge of the subject over the years. Mechanical faculty had famous authors and middle aged faculty. The only issue was they were very strict.
