Xavier's the Brand

The College has implemented a digital tool to record and display attendance. The idea is good but the system often causes headaches to both faculty and students sometimes. Overall the Campus us green enough to keep your mind fresh and the Green Benches are just the go to place for every body.

College being autonomous has certain amount of Independence in evaluation and syllabus. We are marked on our attendance and CIA exams of 80-100 marks scaled down to 10 and a Semester exam of the remaining to allot the subject a full base of 100. Complusory or Core subjects along with some non core subjects are also marked on seminar in which either students present and explain a related topic or a person of knowledge from that field visits and talks on a particular topic

The college has a promising placement cell and tie up with Internshala for providing internship opportunities. Average stipend that I've gathered from my peers were in the ball park of 10000 per month.

The college has events almost every week from seminars to other big ticket events like Insignia and Xavotsav each is carefully crafted and organized by the Council and the Faculties to bring out the best among Xaverians.

The college has both sides courses and self financing courses. Aided courses are more on the affordable side and self financing ones are slightly expensive in comparison. The spread has been as high as 7000 INR.

Although I am not aware of any merely due to lack of curiosity for it I am sure they exist and the Father's at the College would be glad to help out meritorious candidates willing to take on the task of becoming a product of Xavier's.

There are plethora of labs with a Finance Lab if I caught that correct from our ITLP professor coming soon. Their is a sports society that manages hosts and supports the athletes of the college and their interests

Being a third generation Xaverians I can proudly say that the Alumnus of the college is a tight knit community. And the seniors are gracious enough to assist but one must merely be courageous to ask help from one.

Post the online application a merit list was uploaded, selected candidates are interviewed and post interview candidates are registered at Cyber Room. After which according to your allotted room and roll number candidates commence their journey.

The faculty is a mix of extremely experienced professors and young professors. They use various mediums to explain concepts and assist students in their various endeavors in their campus journey. They refuse to baby feed and aim to Kindle the fire of curiosity so as to discourage mugging up. And they consider discipline and decorum to be Paramount requisition for their lectures. Giving relaxation and empathizing where needed.
