It is a very good college to study in. One can feel the positive vibes and college life is fun at BMS College of Engineering. The new block is an added feature to colleges facilities and look. One thing is that ground is small
Course Curriculum Overview
The exam structure is well planned and there are 8 semesters. In each semester there are 3 internals and one semester end exams. 50 marks form internals and 50 from semester end exam is a accounted for 100 marks and based on consolidated marks grade and cgpa is calculated.
Placement Experience
The college has a placement department which handles placement and job process , after the end of third year companies start visiting college for full time and internship recruitment. The salary varies between 5 lpa to 20lpa.
College Events
College has a technical fest called phaseshift and a cultural one called utsav. Each department have their own clubs and they conduct their own open day as well. There are techy and cultural events in both odd and even semester.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There are many fee structures , in CET aided the fees is around 32,000 , in CET unaided the fees is 65,000. Through comedk the fees is nearly 2 lacs per year and through management category the fees includes donation too
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarship schemes available for students under the different categories during allotment in CET rounds , few students apply for scholarship from government of Karnataka schemes , I am not sure about loan.
Campus Life
Each department has three to four practical labs , they are well equipped with computers and electronic equipment. There is a digital library for referring to online content. There is an indoor stadium where people play badminton , basketball and TT.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network exists and some support during technical fest phaseshift. I am in contact with few of my seniors who are already working in companies. There is alumni meet every year at the auditorium.
Admission
BMSCE is in Karnataka. I had taken up CET exam and based on the ranking obtained we had to choose the colleges of out choice. I was allotted BMS electronics and Communication aided seat in second round. The registration and admission process is a very smooth one.
Faculty
The faculty is very experienced and provide good amount of knowledge and concepts to students. Few subjects of 6 credits have projects which will be evaluated every semester. The labs are well equipped and it's a great learning experience.
