The Curriculum at IIM Calcutta is best suited for people wanting to pursue career in Finance, but word of caution: You don't buy your right to have a career in Finance once you enter the college, you have to earn it.

Its one of the best and elite college. If not placements at least you get calls for the best position and best companies. Converting those calls is in your hands. I suggest this college for all those who wants to Masters degree. Excellent Institute, Faculty and Material.

There is very little that has not been said about IIM Calcutta, or Joka, as we call it fondly. Most reviews I have read focus on the unforgettable campus life - its activities and the leadership values they imbibe in you without you noticing it yourself. (About some of those campus activities I can tell you, but then I'd have to kill you). The faculty is excellent(It would be a crime to point out only a few), there are great opportunities for students for their career.

It hosts a Saraswati Puja every year, which is probably the biggest in college. Expect saraswati puja we celebrate independence day. Teachers day. Etc with great enthusiasm.

New clubs and extracurricular have flooded the campus which reflects in students winning lot of awards in reputed national and international competitions. Thanks to college management, exceptional sports and recreational infrastructure has been developed. Every eligable students get scholarship for their better future, Alumni are working in very well known companies in private and public sectors, which gives college an edge in terms of reputation among companies.

Even though the campus is located in quite a rural area, the college building is pretty modern in terms of its facilities. Most of the classrooms are air conditioned with quite comfortable benches and projectors. There is a vast library with books of all the possible streams of management available at any odd hours as well. Laboratories, an integral part of an engineering student, are well maintained. The campus is WiFi enabled, thus speeding up the research activities and projects. Also there's active ODC (high speed intranet) maintained by students for quick and efficient data sharing.

Each hostel has its individual mess, which have their separate menus, none of which are exceptionally good, to be fair. There are two canteens as well, which serve decent food, but you have to pay for it, of course. Fortunately, there are a number of hang
