I love my alma mater. This is the most important peripheral medical college in West Bengal. Infrastructure is excellent in this college. All the facilities and non-teaching staffs are very well-behaved.

The course is contituted by 9 semester and 4 university exams and continuous class test and internal assessments. Total course duration 4 n half years MBBS plus one year compulsory internship. You've to secure at least 50% marks in all the exams to get promoted to the next higher semester.

We have to go through one year compulsory internship. During internship, Govt of West Bengal gives about twenty five thousands rupees as stipend to the internees. After internship is over, we're free to do our practice as an independent doctor.

Freshers welcome is celebrated in late January or early February. Annual cultural festival is celebrated in late August or early September. Saraswati puja, Rabindra Jayanti, National youth day, World Health weeks.

At the time of admission, one thousand rupees as admission fee and Four thousands five hundred seventy two rupees as tuition fee is required. Eighteen hundred rupees is required as festival fee. One thousand rupees as security money.

There are so many scholarship scheems. But Students can avail only one scholarship. Swaami vivekanand scholarship by Govt of West Bengal grants Sixty thousands rupees yearly. National means cum merit about twenty five thousands rupees yearly.

Here is a plenty of opportunities of practical experience. From the very second year, we are exposed in the clinicals. We have to deal with patients and their relatives. Labs are with very developed technologies.

In hostel we have to pay 12/- per month. In canteen, twenty one hundred rupees per month is charged. Miscellaneous fees two hundred per month is required. Other expenses depend upon you. Your expenditure may be beyond this.

Yes, senior students are very helpful. They participate in all the programmes of the college. They arrange a reunion every year. They also contribute to annual festival also. We don't need any private tuition as our seniors help us with studies.

I've to crack WBJEEM-2016 to get admitted in MBBS course. I secured a rank 1329 in the state merit list of WBJEEM-2016. Afterthat I got admitted to this college through online counselling. Counselling was done through centralised online portal. Admission procedures were done offline.

All the faculties are very student-friendly. They are very helpful and co-operative. They keep all the students alert and motivated all the times. They are expert teachers with long time experiences. No need for private tuition.
