Bethune College

Bethune college is the first woman college in India. Famous women of our country like kadambari Devi Chandramukhi Devi studied here and also there taught in this college. But only negative thing about this college is we need more teachers in our college and the the recruitment process should be enlarged and they should have to take care about the washrooms of our college.

The course curriculum was of 3 years is first year second year and third year.there were basically two exams.the mid term that is in the middle of the session and one after each year.for the first and second year we gave our practical exam in our own college but for the third year we gave that practical exam in another college.And for every year the theory exams are held in other colleges.

For Placements and job opportunities there have a career counselling cell which conducts counselling every year. Big companies like Tata consultancy services Wipro et cetera comes to our campus and select students for internships. The stipend is about 10 to 15000 per month and Emily recruit students for their BPS sectors.

The events that are celebrated in our college are our Independence day rabindra jayanti nazrul jayanti bethune day the Grand fest that is alap sports day de tree plantation dayand many other cultural programs are held in our college throughout the year.

Fee structure is very reasonable as it is a government college so the fee structure is very low. We have to pay near about 1500 for a year. As our subject demands practical so for less fees we have to pay a little extra but that's very reasonable.

there are some scholarship available in our college which are Indira Gandhi single child scholarship which can be availed by the girl who is single child of her family there are also some scholarships like inspire Scholarship.And Jagadish Bose national talent search institute conducts Scholarship exam every year.

Bethune college is known for their academic as well as their extra curricular activities for sports we have a specific Dev for celebrate sports and we played variety of games race at cetera and there are various dance groups singing group drama groups photography groups in our college which represent our college in different inter College festivals and also got prize and make us proud. the lab is in very well condition there are scopes that the lab condition can be better.

There is no hostel facility for our college but near the college there are many mess ,paying guest and hostels for both girls and boys and the food delivery option is very good and reasonable there and also some PGs offers home made food to the student.the rate of the hostels and near about 5000 per month and there are some hostels which are less than that.

The illuminate work is very small the prac Tony that is the alimony group every year conducts a reunion in the month of March April and there are several groups in Facebook WhatsApp and different social media from where we can directly contact our seniors teachers and other alumni members and get their help and feedback.

After our 12th result they have published the application form and after the submission of the application form online and after the payment my name was there in the 1st merit list after publication of merit listI went to the college on the schedule date and the counselling beganand I got selected on the day and after that my classes started after 3 weeks.

The faculties of a college are very supportive and helpful and their brilliant in their own subjects. There are over doll 5 teachers for Organic Chemistry three teachers for inorganic chemistry and two teachers for physical chemistry our HOD is of in organic chemistry. And for other subjects like physics maths computers there are also very efficient teachers.
