Overall average college. Good for academics. The campus is strictly not allowing mobile phones and jeans during college hours with formal dress code. Use of mobile phones in the campus leads to seizing.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well maintained. In first year the basics of engineering of all branches will be taught. There are 3 internal examination and one external examination every semester. The pattern of VTU is followed.
Placement Experience
The placement for eligible candidates are guaranteed in any of the companies on campus. There are several companies coming for recruitment drive in the campus with average package ranging from 2.5 Lakhs per annum to 3.5 lakhs per annum.
College Events
The college celebrates college day, hostel day and 4 department fests ( CSE,MECH,ECE,EEE) every academic year. All the events are celebrated with enthusiasm. The college day events last for a period of 5-7 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for college is Rs 1,03,700 per year. The hostel fee structure is Rs 79,000 per year. The college fee can be paid by demand draft or NEFT payment mode. It is one of the most reasonable colleges of Bangalore.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is based om merit which generally benefits students from reserved category and Karnataka students. The academic scholarship is based on your marks every year. There is academic scholarship ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 45,000.
Campus Life
There is sports day every year which includes cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball and athletics. Each department consists of their own labs with a large number of systems. There are extracurricular activities throughout the academic year.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I opted for hostel for first 3 years of my career. For the final year i am a day scholar though. The hostel provides a 4 sharing non AC room with breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and night tea during examination. Hot water facility is provided for 2 hours in the morning from 6AM to 8AM.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an alumni association of the college which consists of pass out students which is managed by the vice HOD of science and humanities department. A number of alumni are also faculty in the college.
Admission
I appeared for COMEDK exam 2016. I achieved a rank of 26345 in COMEDK and got admission in this college through counseling. The admission process was simple and explained well during counseling which required a demand draft for the payment.
Faculty
The faculty in the college is very friendly and complete their course om time. They will be very helpful and will give 2-3 assignments per faculty every semester. The internal marks are given on based of average of 3 internals and assignments.
