GLA's education and culture

It has been mixed feeling. There were some facilities which were remarkable like hostel and mess. The classrooms were good. But the canteen facilities really need improvement. The sports courts and fields need to more advanced.

I did the electrical engineering course. So according to me some subjects were not required at my time but were removed for others according to feedback from faculty. The best thing is they will listen to you, if you finds some flaws in the process. Otherwise you will find that course structure is good and helps you command on electrical and computer subjects too , which can make you capable in both industries to grab the job.The exam stucture is simple, the paper are set and checked in the university only. There are two 20 marks test and 1 60 marks test in 1 semester.

No the college doesn't provide internship. You have to fo it on your own from outside. The job opportunities vary from batch to batch in my time. The good electrical companies were less like Kirloskar and Honda. Otherwise there were small companies with less packages. You can find good opportunities in the computer science and mechanical for job purpose.

There were many events organised through out the year. Firstly the freshers party, then 3 times Dandiya nights and dj nights. Tech fest, cultural fest,, sports fest, fete, battle of bands,etc. You can enhance your in which ever extra curricular activities you may like to do but have to have some pre-skills. Or develop it in the first two year and get in the various clubs to enhance them under the seniors.

The fee structure at my time was 1,30000 tution fees per year and for the hostel and mess it was 37000 and 25000 respectively. But as we passed the college the tuition fees was increased to 2 lakhs. And hostel fees is increased every year. And the mess fees vary according the inflation if the money expenditure is more on food the they will increase it next year.

There is a scholarship scheme for those who scored 85 percent in 12 and are maintaining the same in every year. They use to get redemption of 30-40k every year. Apart from it you can avail the UP scholarship for people with low income.

They have focused on various extra curricular activities through clubs, you can go to robotics, dance , singing, arts, football , cricket, gymnastics, athletics, badminton, table tennis and other activities club. The labs are decent , but can be improved in case of regular mantainence. You will get represent your college at various iner college competition. There coaches which are assigned to every sport.

Yes, I opted for hostel. If you are going to a college then you must opt for hostel. The best moments of your life. In first year you will get 2, 3 and 4 seater rooms but from 2nd year you will get single seater. You will enjoy the most over there. Gum facility, LCD, carom are ther. 24 hours water , electricity and internet facilities. There is a LAN connection so have to get a router or a laptop to use it.

The alumni network is not so strong. People are in touch with there seniors till college afterwards every get busy in there life and contacts break neither college have any initiatives to enhance it. The seniors were helpful at the college time. But now we are not in contact neither with our seniors or juniours.

I took the test at the University's center in my city. They have various centers in different cities of uttar pradesh. After two days the test results were out and security was taken to lock the seat. And after 1 month the admission started.

The faculty was great at out time, some teachers were great teaching skills which helped us nurture our career path. If you finds that a faculty is not good for you you ask them, they will listen to you and can make some changes.
