Birla Global University - The Luxury of a College

Only one negative about the college is that it's costly. The course fee is very high including the hostel fees. I'll probably be leaving the hostel as it'll be way cheaper to live outside than to live in the hostel paying 60k for 6 months.

The course curriculum is well set. Easy for the students and also covers all the topics required in the course. The course curriculum promotes interaction between the students and the faculty. Exam structure is good, makes it easy for the students if they study regularly and pay attention in the class. There's mid sem exams for 20 marks, end sem exams for 70 marks. Total 90 marks. The rest 10 marks are awarded based on class attendance and interaction in the class.

Various companies come for hiring the students. Around 60% of our seniors got selected in the placement round, the rest did not appear for it because they wanted to go for higher studies. The college has tied with other companies to arrange for the internship of the students. I'm in the second year and yet to experience work.

There's house matches, fresher parties for new comers, yearly events in the month of December, Football tournaments, Dance competition. It's like there's a event for everyone. Seniors are good and encourage students to participate in the plethora of events.

I would call it expensive. The fee structure for BBA H is 4,50,000 course fees and 3,60,000 hostel fees. Total adds upto 8,00,000 for BBA H only. Considering other options like Amity Raipur, the course fees here is itself very high.

There are various scholarships offered here. One is based on merit. The other on the basis of participating in National or International level sports. Merit scholarship is divided into >70%, >80% &>90%. They respectively give 10,20 and 30% off in the course fees.

Extracurricular activites are organised on a regular basis promoting students to participate in them. Many students do take part in these. There are activities of all types, dance, sports, music and what not.

The hostel assigned to me is not yet complete, it'll be complete in 1-2 months including AC and WiFi. So students joining next year will have all these facilities. And it's completely new, we're the first batch of students living here. Small but well maintained.

Yes they are very helpful. They don't try to act like your seniors rather like your friends. All doubts I had have been cleared by them. I also help the juniors to get in contact with them so that they can get their doubts cleared.

First I applied online on bgu.ac.in, after 3-4 days I received a call from the admissions office regarding my form. I was informed that because of my high scoring in 10th and 12th, I've been selected on merit. I reached the college on the next day, I submitted my application with the supporting documents. They verified and then I was given direct admission. Some of my friends had to go through an interview where they were asked based questions. Direct straight forward admission. Completed in a day.

Faculty is average. I'm calling them average on the basis of all the factors. They have good expertise in the respective subjects they teach, but the relation between the child and the faculty needs to be developed. They will clear your doubts if you ask them, but not like they really want to, they do it because it's their job.
