College journey

I would like to say that, the students interested in pursuing engineering, should try to get admission in other colleges that are far better than this one. It would be a complete waste of time, money and your talent here.

The curriculum is vast. Depending upon how good a student is spending time on practical workshops, he/she might get placed quickly. The exam structure is subjective. The board don't want to-the-point answers, but it demands a full length explanation of the topics asked in the examination. You won't get marks if you cut it short. They will either give you full marks for the attempted question or zero.

The placement is not guaranteed. You might excel in your academics, but for some reasons you will end up with unemployment. The placement department doesn't even try to attract companies for campus placements. Even there is no internship provided by the college.

Events to be celebrated in the college need to be first verified by the director and dean of the college. The events include Sports Day, Annual Function and National Events on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day. There is not a single provision for Students TechFest or Cultural Fest and Freshers party or Farewells, not even a convocation ceremony is included.

The fee structure is feasible. It got the cheapest fees in the entire state. The students can complete their graduation by spending not more than 4 lacs INR. However, the fee fluctuates as per the demand and necessity of the college management.

There is a scholarship program in the college, that provides the 75% of the fee to those students who belong to minorities and/or have their guardians not related to any government job. Any thing else might cause the student to be Restigated from the institution.

There is no any extra curricular activities provided in the institution. There are several labs in the college with working staffs, but almost all of them are not sufficient for proper education. The sports is not allowed in the college, however it organizes sports day for 3 continuous days, without any practices performed by students.

The alumni network is not strong enough. The senior students do try to help the juniors, but however, the college management comes in between them and breaks the bond between them. The network is helpful, but due to lack of security, it doesn't lasts longer.

I had to go through an interview and got selected for having good marks and interest in the Engineering fields. Firstly, I had to fill up the admission form, so that I could sit in the interview. The whole process required the marksheets, results and documents like migration and character certificates.

The faculty members try hard to teach. But some of them don't even try to teach students, they rather play with students for their internal marks. Although, the best part is, that every professor is not the same.
