Remarks

St Thomas college has a wide area of campus.Its an eco friendly campus with many varieties of trees and plants.We have an indoor stadium,swimming pool and a big play ground for the students. Its a green campus. College is good in curriculum and non curriculum activities

B.Com with Finance and Taxation is the programme i am doing in the college Their is 6 semester examinations and other internal examinations also.For each subject 100 is the maximum mark out of that 80 mark is written and 20 as part of internal assessment

Our college has a good placement cell.Every year many number of students of St Thomas college get placed in various sector of the industry such as bank,service.The college trains the students to prepare for interviews and group decisions

College Events

The main events conducted in the college are arts day,college day,sports day etc.Comarena is a main event conducted by the commerce department of the college.Its a mangement fest conducted in the college with all india participation.Every department of the college conducts fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

St Thomas college pala is a government aided college so that only less amount is collected as fees for a semester.KPCR a government policy is implemented in the college.Many other scholarships are also provided in the college For me the semester fee is below 2000

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed central sector scholarships provided by central government because of studying in an aided stream.Per year this scholarship provides 10000 rs for each students who has availed it.And also college provides a scholarship for two students who are financially below

Campus Life

Their are many extracurricular activities in St Thomas college.We have music club,dance club, film club etc.The chairman of the college is selected by a parliamentary mode election.We have a blood donation cell in our college.We have NSS and NCC both army and navy wing.we have indoor court for sports and swimming pool also

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is situated inside the campus itself so that it is easy for the student who stay in hostel.The warden of the hostel is a priest. Amble facilities are provided in the hostel.Rooms and toilets are well maintained.Hostel has good infrastructure

Alumni/Alumna

Many senior students got placed in many companies.Every year alumnus annual meetings are conducted in the college.Alumnus of the college had made a scholarship for the brilliant student in the college

Admission

I have applied to the online allotment of MG university and preferred St. Thomas college as the prior option to get admission.Got allotted in the second allotment. Then I print the allotment memo and went to the college and took admission

Faculty

The faculty of my colleges are excellent. Teachers having doctorate are present in our college.Their are many research guides teaching in my college.All the faculty are friendly towards students and staisfies the needs of the student and teaches well

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in there 6th semester during 3rd year. The students has to score highest grades and should be capable of any skills and has to showed up in academic skills are eligible for getting placements. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.

The college is well known for inducing skills to students holistically. The facilities work very hard not just to complete the course but to make students fully aware about the subject matter. There is no political influence found in this college.

The best college in calicut city

Remarks:

Our college is the best but the college have not a college bus and a canteen. The students are come to the college with bikes and cars and private bus and students are eating food from out of the college campus and other hotels.
