Remarks
Negative- The college is very old because of that the existing infrastructure facilities are not enough to accomodate the students studying there.The hostel facilities have to be improved. Positive- the college is one of the cleanest colleges in kerala.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is much more learner centric patient-centric, gender-sensitive and outcome -oriented one.There is a also longitudinal programme based on attitude, ethics and communication (AETCOM) competencies.The curriculum also offers a foundation course to help students from diverse educational streams and backgrounds to adapt to the curriculum.the exam mode followed here is semester type.except the main exams conducted at each semester , there are a lot of internal exams also.
Placement Experience
Yes my college provide an internship with a stipend around 25000 rs per month.Many students go for post graduation after completing their under graduation from medical college.some go for practicing.you know intern ship is at the end of my course ie at the fifth year which is yet to come, as i was currently studying in first year.
College Events
A vast number of events which falls in sports,academics,arts,research etc are conducted in my college.My college celebrates all regional and national festivals especially Onam and christmas.The most mentionable event 'etcetra' is conducted every year to expand research in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
25000 per year for four years.since i am studying in government medical college this fees is not expensive when compared to the other private medical colleges in my state.I think this fees structure is a feasible one

Many scholarships are available for the bright students for example the merit cum means scholarship from the central government,the e grantz scholarship from state government for oec,sc,st and backward class students.
Campus Life
I must say that my college is not only famous for academics but also for extra curricular activities.the college provides facilities for allmost all sports.our college won last years sports meet conducted in trivandrum and also the inter zone youth festival which involved arts and other extra curricular activities.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of government medical college calicut is very vast.we the students of calicut medical college are very helpful to them because it was them who built the new digitilized lecture hall in our campus and also the digital library.
Admission
I got admitted to this college by considering my neet entrance exam rank.i think an all india rank of around 800 is needed to get admisson in this college in general category.after the declaration of results i registered my options.my first option was govt medical college calicut
Faculty
Well trained and experienced faculties.They are very much friendly,approachable and do their profession,that is teaching with great pleasure and sincerity.I am sure that all my medical college faculties are much better when compared to other college faculties in kerala.
