College Review

Since college has good experience and first engineering college in the locality there are many positive things. Placements and internship are very less for other than IT departments which is very bad.

Since the college is autonomous and question papers set by MIT only and course curriculum is well maintained and syllabus also very good. Exam pattern is 3 sessionals and best of two selected followed by one final exam.

Placements for BE and B.tech was very good when compared to M-tech courses. In under graduate courses that too in IT department 100% placements, college provides internship to some students whose CGPA is above 9+. They also have teaching assistants program only 5 from a class can get selected they will get 5000 monthly and they should help faculties for that.

There are many events celebrated in Manipal. There will be one event in a week which is organised by different branches, some events organised by college are tech-tatva, Revel's, Holi, etc. Students can participate and some events involves entry fees also

Fee structure is bit expensive here but not too much, because for entire mtech course they fees 3 laks for two years 1.5 lakhs each year but in the second year we will not there in college only because of internship and projects but also fees should be paid.

Scholarship facility is available for konkani speaking students and also gate stipend is there who cleared gate entrance tests. Teaching assistants for the students who scored good marks in the class. And many other scholarship programs also there.

Extracurricular activities like sports and fun games and events will be there labs are well maintained and good conditions. Coming to sports those who interested can use the facilities there are many facilities like gym, ground etc

No I'm not opted hostel. Hostel facility is very good (from my friends) they don't have strict rules and ragging free campus. Food facility also very nice and healthy. Outing is not a problem but you should be there within 11pm or else fines will be there also biometric facility compulsory.

Since 1960 many students graduated and many are in good positions and alumni network is strong. Many CEO's also studied here and they are very helpful. During campus placements also alumni and senolior students will help.

On writing Mu-oet entrance exam, I secured 20th rank by getting 137 marks out off 200. The exam will be based on basics and multiple type question with 4 answers, comparatively easier for those who prepared for gate exams.

Faculties are very good. For M-tech classes only PhD lectures are allowed and many faculties are done with their PhD and some are doing now. Also faculties are very friendly with students but in case of marks they won't compromise.
