One thing that I don't like about my college is that they make us wear a uniform and also doesn't let us go out of college before 2:30 which is totally unfair as a college student is mature enough to know what to do so you can't impose anything on them. This imposition results in students bunking classes and roaming inside the campus and some students even jump the walls of college which is dangerous and may causes injuries. Let the students take their own decisions.

Our course curriculum of mechanical engineering is a bit backward for the time of such great innovation and technological advancement. Our course includes the basics of mechanical engineering such as designing, material properties, automobiles, testing, etc which extends as separate subjects in the later years,thus giving us deep knowledge of the subject. But the problem is that these subjects do not include latest technologies which we must learn in order to compete in this world. We are still learning the processes and devices which have become obsolete.

The placements and the job opportunities are increasing day by day because of the contionus efforts of our faculty and management. More and more companies want to come to our college for recruiting students due to our ability. Every year the number of students placed increases.

Our college celebrates a lot of events. Some of them are: Annual college fest(PRAVAH) Annual sports fest (AAVEG) Intercollegiate Technological competitions. Drama competitions Dance competition (THIRAK) Independence day Republic day Singing competition (SUR) Auto Expo Project Expo The Annual college fest is the biggest event celebrated in our college which is a combination of so many events such as dance competition,drama competition,poetry competition, robotics competition,etc. The students can also come up with ideas of their own for an event to organise in the fest. The vibe of the whole college changes and everyone enjoys the fest. The last night of the fest is celebrity night and a DJ night is also organised for students and faculty to enjoy.

The fee structure at our college is feasible at almost ?40,000 per semester excluding the exam fees taken by the RTU which is not at all expensive at some universities taking upto ?1,00,000 per semester for the same degree/course. The fee structure is designed by RTU and our college has no say in it.

Our college offers a variety of scholarships for deserving students such as TFWS, scholarships for girls and scholarships for disabled students. Our college also provides the facility of student loan through all the prominent banks with minimal paperwork.

Our college has designed our time table keeping in mind that students should also take part in extra curricular activities and that's why we have two hours dedicated solely for the purpose of extra curricular activities on every Wednesday. There are many clubs such as SAE, Robotics , Entrepreneurship, Toastmasters,etc operating in our college founded and run by students to increase our overall skills and knowledge.

Our college lacks the alumni network. Most of the students don't know their seniors as during the freshman year seniors are not allowed to talk to freshers in order to prevent ragging which have an adverse effect of no interaction between junior and seniors and hence juniors are unable to take advice from their seniors.

I took an examination of JEE main in which I passed. After that I filled up the form for admission process in the colleges under RTU which goes by the name REAP. In the form I was asked for my priorities of college and the stream. After some time RTU announced the college and the stream in which we could take admission based on our marks of JEE main. I was alloted SKIT college in mechanical stream. I went to the college with all the documents needed such as class 12 marksheet, a photo ID proof,etc did the formalities and paperwork of college and was admitted to the college.

The faculty of our college is experienced, knowledgeable, smart and really knows how to teach. Our faculty is greatly experienced not only in teaching but also in industrial career which makes them great teachers and it becomes easier for us to understand something because of the practical knowledge our teachers have.
