PDA College of Engineering

As the syllabus is very old and it'll not help the students to have the information and the knowledge of any modern technology, the students are required to be mentored by good and experienced faculty so that they can achieve knowledge of something new and beneficial. As it is a very old college and has given many reputed Alumni to the society, the college has a very large number of people. Something's are good when they are updated and changed with time. This is important issue they need to notice.

Syllabus is very old and I think it'll not help the students to have the information and the knowledge of any modern technology and the teachers are also helpless regarding this issue. Very few teachers understand the need of this and help us. Exam structure has 3 cumulative examinations and semester examination. By combining these two GPA is obtained.

I'm a fresher student as of now and I don't know much about it. I've seen about placements in a display in the college, various different companies and organisations arrive and pick the suitable candidates in their respective interviews and may observe the academic results.

Various events take place throughout the year but none of the events benefit the students. It is nothing but a gathering of students and teachers to kill time but also a very good opportunity for the college to earn money by this. They are probably happy but I'm not.

My fee structure is very expensive. My yearly fees is ?1.2 lakh rupees and also other fees like exam fees, subject registeration fees, marks card fees, building fund, event fees, summer semester fees, and other fees every now and then are too much expensive for a middle class family student to afford.

KMDC Arivu Education loan is given to minority group of students. Merit scholarship and other various scholarships help the students to pay off the huge amounts of fees of the college. These scholarships are now not available because of the recent government budget and have troubled many students.

Only the students who have any certificates to prove the skill in their extracurricular activities are welcomed and there no options for a ordinary student to participate in a organised event. The students perform by paying a certain amount to other student organised events which are not helpful in anyway. Laboratories are in a very bad condition. Almost everything is underdeveloped and is in a bad condition.

There is no connection between senior and alumni batches. Neither they reach us at any time in given academic year nor the college has any meetings or interaction with them. I don't know about other semester students but we didn't have any word from seniors regarding our branch or any other activities.

By securing a rank of 26394 in COMEDK examination, I got a seat in PDA College. I had also attempted JEE, NEET, KCET, and other college examinations and wanted to study in Bangalore but I did not have any option to choose except the seat in my hometown. So I chose PDA College.

The college describes that the faculty is very experienced and have qualified from premier institutions like IIT and NIT but we don't get a expected level of teaching and there is no rapport with teachers. Students are confused with their life and cannot think what to do later.
