College becomes unnecessarily conservative when it's convenient. Are very financially capable of making improvements but never do. Certain staff should be let go of. Really needs improvement in management structure and syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for my course (BCA) is very outdated. Where many college have new syllabus, we are stuck with a syllabus that is over a decade old. Exams: 2 internal exams of all subjects and labs and an end semester exam in each semester.
Placement Experience
Placements are done through the placement officer appointed by the college. College does not provide internships internally, but we are asked to do it externally so that we gain work experience for our final year projects.
College Events
Utsav: celebrates art. Musical evening: event for music and dance. Sports: athletic event. College day: for academic achievements of UG and PG departments Degree day: celebration of traditional wear and UG achievements
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very reasonable compared to colleges elsewhere. Fee is excellent when the academic quality is considered. For my course (BCA), the fee is Rs. 30000 which is just fraction of the fee other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides scholarships to students who are not financially able and to students who excel in sports, arts and academics on a higher level. The college also offers concession to students who are not financially abled.
Campus Life
College offers over 50 clubs to join from for extracurricular activities. These clubs are organized every week. Sports is taken seriously and highly encouraged by the college. Labs really could use come improvement, especially in the technical support area.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network at college is basically just a propaganda structure and another way to make money off students. Honestly I see no benefits to it and the amount of membership fee they demand is unreasonable. Don't know any alumni members.
Admission
I got by BUYING the admission form from the college. Then I submitted it and was allowed to proceed with the admission since my 12th grade percentage cleared the cut-off percentage the college required.
Faculty
Non-teaching staff: extremely rude most of the time. Very lazy, they do their job properly very rarely. Most of them do not do their jobs well enough Teaching staff: majority are really good teachers. Rest don't deserve to get paid with the kind of job they do
