Remarks
Our college is considered to be the best for computer science engineering across the state. It holds many awards and prestigious prizes. Our college also gets excellent placements from huge MNCs like google and Microsoft. But being an old college, it looks a bit old and isn’t so big, but that doesn’t matter as long as the academics and placements are excellent.
Course Curriculum Overview
The entrance exam is a state wise common entrance test in which our maths and science are tested. We attend 2 years of pre-university classes to prepare for the test and finally take the test after second year.
Placement Experience
Our college is visited by google, Microsoft and various other MNCs for recruitment’s. It is said to have top placements in the state. The highest package last year was 44Lakhs per anum. Yes our college provides internships in various companies.
College Events
Our college usually celebrates traditional Indian events like dandiya nights and kite festival. Apart from these there is an annual fest the SANJH or KMIT Evening where students showcase various talents. Apart from these flag mobs and skits are performed by students occasionally. There are clubs for dance, drama, coding and various other activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Compared to most other colleges in the state our college fee structure is very feasible. It’s 77,000 per anum which is comparatively lower than most other colleges of this range. Similar colleges have a fee of around 1-1.5Lakh per anum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college fee is quite low and also offers fee reimbursement according to the students financial status. Also people belonging to the scheduled casts and tribes get 100% fee reimbursement, people belonging to backward casts and tribes receive comparatively lower fee reimbursement. People belonging to the Other Casts do not get any fe reimbursement unless they are proved to be below poverty line.
Campus Life
Our college has different clubs like the dance club, drama club, coding club and many others for extracurricular activities. They give good priority to sports, labs and extracurricular activities. We go to the lab every week and use the equipments to perform the experiments and take down the readings, a lab exam is conducted at the end of the semester. Our college conducts tournaments in sports like basketball, football and cricket every year. Our college also attends inter-college matches and has national players as a part of its teams.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni students have a good opinion on the college and are thankful for having studying in such a college. They are very approachable and help us in every possible way they can. The seniors are also kind and respond positively to the juniors. There is no question of ragging or bullying from the seniors.
Admission
1% ceiling limit transfer quota in the second year of the computer science engineering course. It’s basically management quota. I had to contact the admission managers and enquire about the availability of seats
Faculty
Our college is specialised in computer science and engineering faculty and is said to have the best of CSE faculty in the state. The faculty use various teaching tools to enhance the teaching and explain subjects thoroughly and patiently.
