Engineer

Every college has its pros and cons.But N.I.T Jamshedpur gave this opportunity to convert my cons into my pros. I came to know how a person can grow both in good and bad ways here.If at all there's a chance I get to be in the college again I wish I wouldn't miss it.

The course curriculum is very rigorous and one of the finest in India.We had two term exams and a final exam for every semester.The term exam was for 20marks and final exam was for 40 marks and there were surprise quiz and assignment which had a final score of 20marks.

Our college do provides internship options but of limited opportunities but when it comes to placements our college stands in the top 10 of the N.I.T's where the average placement of the college is 6lakh per annum.

We have a cultural fest and a technical fest that happen every year.Every student of the college takes part in the fest be it participation or management of the fest.We are very proud to say that we are the biggest technical fest in the north east India.

The fee structure is very feasible and there's also a fee remission for the students whose parent income falls below par and we are also provided with student loans at the S.B.I Bank inside the campus itself.The cost of living too isn't that high since we are provided with a very good hospitality services at the College hostels.

We are provided the best scholarships given the category, background,family income and merit we hold.The foundation for excellence,and many other scholarships were undertaken by the best students in the college.The student loan is very easy to process with since the bank resides in the college campus and the bank employees help a lot to make the student understand what he is paying.

One of the best features the college holds is the records of the athletics and the sports teams hold.We always bagged many prizes and cups in the inter N.I.T competitions and the students in the college are very enthusiastic towards sports.

The hostels are one of the boasting part of college pride.We are provided single rooms for very student from first year to final year.This made the students to develop individuality, thinking ,adapting on their own.

We have a very good alumni network and there's a team called alumni&relations to give the alumni their best memories they had in the college.Alumni and seniors play major role during placements and it's very less to say that they hold the roots of the college.

I appeared In Joint Entrance Exam-2015 and secured a rank of 14322 all over India.There are four rounds and a spot round over all for the selection process into the N.I.T'S.In the first round I was shortlisted for nit raipur civil engineering and in the second round I was shortlisted in nit jalandhar mechanical engineering and in the third round I got shortlisted in nit Jamshedpur under mechanical engineering where I choose it as my final option.

The faculty we had was very good ,though they were old but they were experienced.Recently we had a change in the faculty in 2018 where new lecturers were placed in some positions which brought some interesting changes in academics.
