Remarks

As such the college was very good talking about it's academics to extracurricular activities but talking about demeris it was more of a school where we hardly had any freedom and the teaching staffs were excellent in teaching but some of them need to be more helpful for the week students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was good where we had to visit all 6 days in college except on Sundays and there was hardly any off classes and we had our semester based exam structure where we had to give exam twice in a year and class test was also taken on Saturdays to get ourself cope up with the studies.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and job opportunities was very good with some good packages that a fresher would look for. Companies such as delliote, L&T, grofers, ICICI, hawkings, etc used to visit our college to recruit the best among ourselves and yes our college do provide us internship and some were paid internship and some were unpaid depending on the nature of the company the intern was working on.

College Events

4

One of the biggest event that we used to have in our college is xavoutsav which was usually held form 23rd to 25th January and then a even called Beyond barriers which was usually held on 27th January each year. Apart form this the bengali people had their own event called xavullush which was done by Bengali Literacy Society (BLS).

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was a bit expensive where we had to approximately pay around 2000 per month and it was paid online via internet banking and that too had to pay once in a quarter which was taken in sum total for a quarter.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I'm actually not aware of any scholarship or loan faculty given by our college but our father used to help such below poverty level's and middle class family's student by giving different concession for their studies.

Campus Life

5

Extracurricular activities were excellent where we had faculty for every kind of sports starting form basketball to table tennis and the Doris day was also awesome to watch. NSS and NAAC was also their where we had certain activities looks village visit, adda camp, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

I used to travel form my home as i knew i don't need a hotel faculty as it used to took around 1hr 30min for me to reach my college but it was hectic for me to get public transport at that early morning as we had to reach before 6am. Students used to get hostel facilities form college whose home was a bit far.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the senior of our college was helpful when they used to guide us in different way and the alumni association is also excellent through which we can connect ourselves and some memory to cherish also.

Admission

First we have to fill up the admission form online in the college website sxccal.edu after our 12th results and then we have to check our merit list based on the mentioned date in the college website and lastly if you have got your name in the merit list, then you have to go for admission cum interview on the same mentioned date.

Faculty

4

Faculty was decent as some professors were very good who were very helpful inside and also outside the class, but some professors were a bit ride and aren't where they used to cut students attendence for silly things. Except the teaching staffs, the non teaching staffs in the office were also very helpful.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
