What Students Say

- I choose Kingston University because the MSc program was compatible with my bachelor's degree.
- Faculty are supportive and most of professors are very great in terms of teaching. Second thing which i like about University is infrastructure, whole University is well furnished and they have massive library and tons of academic and non-academic books are also available. University has very high speed WiFi also which is available for each and every student. There are so many computer available in the library and every student has access to use computer. Number of printer are there in library as well as in main building and cost for printing is also very cheap. There is a silent zone available in the library so, if someone want to study there they are free to welcome. If someone wants to do study in group with their friends then there is a option to book a room. Labs are massive with all current advance instruments. High standard equipment like IR,NMR and HPLC is also available. Finally, there is a free bus service provided by university from student residence hall and nearby station to Kingston University.
Dislikes
- First thing which i didn't like is my module which is not well structured. Most of the topics are all covered in bachelors degree so, very few things were new. Also for dissertation they gave us very short time to do lab work. I got around 2 months for doing my lab work which not sufficient to be honest. Second thing which I hate about University is that if someone need any help from professor then they need to write a mail to professor and wait for 2-3 days for their reply. So, in case of emergency it is very difficult to get quick reply from faculty.
Required Exams for Admission
Overall, University is average in terms of academic and good in terms of faculty. Infrastructure is fantastic and University has number of facilities available which is free for every student.
Course Curriculum
Curriculum was not that much up to date. They need to change it.
Faculty
Batch is massive like around 100-130 student are there in class. But every student has their own personal tutor so, they can get help from tutor.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing. Every month they organize various programs. Also, they celebrate every festivals.
Placement
Getting job is bit tough because of current situation in UK. However, few students got job in laboratory. University has placement faculty which helps to search for jobs and placement. Also, they help to review the CV and the give their opinion to do amendment in the CV. Every time when they see any vacancy they share with all students.
Accommodation
There is student accommodation provided by university but are much expensive around 700/800£ per month. One can live in private house/ sharing house by paying 400/500£ per month.
Exams
University requirements is overall IELTS score should be 6.5 with no less than 6 in each module of IELTS. I submitted SOP in which I mentioned about my past education qualification and what I studied in my bachelor's degree. I also include about the internship which I did in my third year of degree. I also mentioned about my future goals. Yes, I had an interview with University after getting offer. They asked me about myself, my past qualification. They also asked me why I choose UK and Kingston University for masters. Also they questioned me about my future career goals.
