What Students Say
Likes
- University is great overall
Dislikes
- The only thing that I would highlight is that majority of my classmates were from India, could have been more culturally diverse.
Course Curriculum
- At the time of taking the course, the curriculum was fully in sync with the technological standards at that time.
- Year in Industry was optional in my course, which means an extra year, and I chose to go with it as I needed some work experience in the field. All professors were research-oriented, unlike technical, so I found this both hard to adjust to as well as refreshing.
- 2-4 Classes per day on about 4 days a week, pretty relaxed, but there was enough take-home work to keep us busy.
- My course had about 40-50, from what I remember, and some classes were combined with other courses with common subjects.
Admission Experience
- Based on the curriculum, I chose to apply to the University of Warwick and Leicester, and I got a rejection from Warwick, stating my goal for technical is not the focus there, rather more on the business side of Analytics.
- My Scores: IELTS: 7.5 Required Scores for admission: 7 for Warwick and 6 for Leicester
Faculty
- Very approachable, all of them are very knowledgeable, and I had the best experience with one of the visiting professors, who is also a world-renowned researcher.
Campus Life
- I went to the campus in Leicester. There were all sorts of clubs to be a part of - both subject/technology related and outdoor or sports activities.
