What Students Say
Likes
- The University has excellent research environment and faculty.
- The collaboration among the other UK universities and international universities are also remarkable.
Course Curriculum
- I am doing a PhD, so I don’t think these questions are relevant to me.
Admission Experience
- I chose the university based on the project available for the PhD and the research record of my supervisor.
- My IELTS score was 7.5 with more than or equal to 6 in each subband. The required scores were 5.5 in each subband and overall 6.5. It is based on the course and education level.
Faculty
- I don’t have info on these as I don’t deal with lots of faculty here during my research.
Campus Life
- The campus is situated throughout the city. From a PhD perspective, there are many workshops and training sessions arranged by the doctoral academy.
Part Time Jobs
- There are TA options available for PhD students based on the requirements for the module and the skills of the students.
Placement
- I am not looking into full time job at the moment, as the PhD is for 4 years and I just joined.
Accommodation
- I found it through an online search, and it’s a private student accommodation. The rent is around 720 GBP per month, which includes electricity, gas, water, WiFi, and maintenance fees.
Exams
- IELTS is required. I applied through a DTP, so the requirements were SOP, LOR, and CV. And there was an interview.
Fees
- 6600 GBP per year at the home student rate
