Academic Requirements

• Overall grade of 65% or above in Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII from: CBSE, CISCE, IGCSE
• 65% or above from Major State Boards (If a specific subject is required for entry to the course, 65% in the course subject is also required).
• Overall grade of 70% or above in Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII from the following boards:
  • Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand
• University also considers appropriate work experience.

Admission Requirements

India English Language Requirements:

• 75% minimum 12th standard English across all boards
• Please note that the University does not accept 12th-standard English marksheets from the National Institute of Open Schooling or Vocational Boards.
• In addition, the University does not accept 12th standard English mark sheets from any of the states below (both State and Central boards): Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh
• The University accepts 12th standard English mark sheets from Central Boards (CBSE & ICSE) only or IELTS Academic from the above states.

English Proficiency Score

• IELTS score of 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each band)
• TOEFL iBT Overall Score of 79 (Min sub skill: Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Speaking: 20, Writing: 17)
• Pearson PTE Overall score of 61 (Min. 59 in each sub-skill)

Estimated Amount Required to Show

• Students have evidence of sufficient funds to pass a maintenance test (currently £10,224 + unpaid tuition fees) and evidence that these funds have been held for at least 28 continuous days. 
• The University of Chester requests that the bank statements you provide the University, also show that you have maintained an additional £200 to cover any currency fluctuations which may occur.
