Academic Qualification

• A Level: BBB, including one from:
  • Mathematics.
  • Physics.
  • Chemistry.
  • Biology.
  • CCEA Single Award Life & Health Sciences (from September 2016), or Double Award Life & Health Sciences (Grade BB), or Double Award Applied Science (Grade BB).
• RQF Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma/OCR Cambridge Technical Level 3 Extended Diploma:
  • DDM with GCSE Science.
  • Accepted subjects: Applied Science, Health & Social Care, Applied Human Biology.
  • Smaller BTEC/OCR qualifications: May be combined with A Levels or other Level 3 qualifications.
• Irish Leaving Certificate:
  • Grades: Five H3 Higher Level grades required.
  • At least two H3 grades in Maths, Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • English and Mathematics required at grade H6 at Higher Level or O4 at Ordinary Level.
• Access to Higher Education (HE):
  • NI Access Course: 65% overall profile, including two Level 3 modules in Maths, Biology, Physics, or Chemistry, plus a 20-credit Level 2 Mathematics module passed at 40% or NICATS Mathematics.
  • GB Access Course: 24 credits at Distinction and 21 credits at Merit in a relevant science, plus GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4.
• GCSE Requirements:
  • GCSE pass in English Language Grade C/4 or above.
  • GCSE pass in Mathematics Grade C/4 or above.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills: Application of Number is not accepted as an alternative to GCSE Maths.
• HND: Pass with Merit, 60 distinctions in Level 5 credits/units, plus GCSE Science requirements.
• HNC: Pass with Distinction, 90 distinctions in Level 4 credits/units, plus GCSE Science requirements.

• Foundation Degree: Pass with 55% in Level 5 modules, Year One entry only, plus GCSE Science requirements.

NOTE:

• BBB: Grade B in three subjects.
• H3, H3, H3, H3, H3 = Five Higher Level subjects with 60-69%.
• DDM: Distinction in two subject and Merit in one subjects.

• 3-Year Diploma: Diploma in Engineering or Technology with overall 60%.
• Grade B: 60% in Indian Standard XII or CBSE/CISCE Standard X.
• Grade C: 50% in Indian Standard XII or CBSE/CISCE Standard X.
• English Language: 70% (Pass in English Core) in CBSE/ICSE or State Boards of Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

• Eligible applicants must take the MSAT-Ulster on 8-9 March 2025.

English Language Requirement

• IELTS: Overall score 7.0, minimum 6.5 in each skill.
• OET: Minimum grade C+ in writing and minimum grade B in reading, listening, and speaking.
• PTE Academic: 66 overall with a minimum of 61 in each part.
• TOEFL iBT: 100 overall with minimum scores of: Listening: 22, Reading: 24, Speaking: 25, Writing: 24.
• Cambridge Advanced English (C1 Advanced): 185 overall with no element below 162.
• Cambridge Proficiency in English (C2 Proficiency): 185 overall with no element below 162.
• LanguageCert International ESOL: Overall 75, with no element below 70.
• Skills for English: SELT: C1 Pass.
