Nirma M.Tech Data Science Fees

The M.Tech (Data Science) programme at Nirma University follows the same fee structure as all M.Tech programmes at the Institute of Technology for 2026-27. The annual tuition fee is Rs. 2,94,000, and with other charges and deposits, the total per-annum cost is Rs. 3,19,500. Over the 2-year programme, the total fees amount to Rs. 6,39,000 (the refundable security deposit of Rs. 10,000 is returned at the end of the programme). Hostel facility is available on campus and is optional; hostel fees are charged separately.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE approved) with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates appearing in the final semester (Semester VIII) of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of results within 30 days of commencement of the semester.
A valid GATE score in Computer Science (CS) or Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) is required for GATE category admission; non-GATE candidates must appear for Nirma University's written test (syllabus same as GATE CS paper).

Admission Process

Apply online at the official Nirma University M.Tech admissions portal (admissions-mtech.nirmauni.ac.in).
Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,250.
GATE-qualified candidates with a valid qualifying score in CS or DA are admitted based on GATE merit.
