Q1. Who is eligible for the BPT Lateral Entry programme at JRU?
Ans. Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Physiotherapy (10+3) from a recognised board or institution with at least 50% marks are eligible for the BPT Lateral Entry programme at JRU. This route allows diploma holders to earn a full BPT degree in 3 years instead of the standard 5 years.
Q2. What is the difference between the regular BPT and BPT Lateral Entry at JRU?
Ans. The regular BPT is a 5-year programme (9 semesters + internship) open to 10+2 PCB students. The BPT Lateral Entry is a 3-year programme (6 semesters) for diploma holders in physiotherapy, allowing direct entry into the second year of the BPT programme. The total fee for lateral entry (Rs 2.87 Lakhs) is also lower than the regular BPT (Rs 4.22 Lakhs).
Q3. Is the BPT Lateral Entry degree from JRU recognised by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP)?
Ans. JRU is a UGC-approved and NAAC-accredited university. The BPT degree awarded by JRU is recognised by the UGC. Candidates are advised to verify recognition with the relevant state physiotherapy council before applying, as registration requirements may vary by state.
Q4. Is there any entrance exam required for BPT Lateral Entry admission at JRU?
Ans. No specific entrance exam is required for BPT Lateral Entry at JRU. Admission is based on merit in the qualifying diploma examination. Candidates with a valid NEET UG score may be given additional preference.
Q5. Can I apply for the DreamZ-JRU Scholarship for the BPT Lateral Entry programme?
Ans. Yes, the DreamZ-JRU Scholarship is available for all UG programmes at JRU, including BPT Lateral Entry. However, it is exclusively for underprivileged girl students and must be nominated by an NGO, orphanage, school principal, or government body.

Ans.
