Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination (or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects, along with Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, or related subjects, with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in these subjects combined.
Lateral entry candidates with a minimum 3-year diploma or B.Sc degree with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) are also eligible to apply.
Candidates from diverse educational backgrounds are supported through bridge courses in Physics, Mathematics, and related subjects to ensure a level playing field.
Admission Process
- Step 1: Online Registration - Candidates register on the official portal (jgigroup.in/btech2026/) with personal, academic, and contact information. Email authentication is required to proceed.
- Step 2: Application Submission - Complete the online application form with all required details, upload recent passport-size photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm, max 50 KB) and 10th mark sheet (max 100 KB).
- Step 3: Application Fee Payment - Pay the application fee of 600 INR (inclusive of GST) through online mode (net banking, credit card, or debit card).
- Step 4: Entrance Examination - Candidates take the JET written test (150 minutes, 150 marks) covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and English. Alternatively, valid JEE Main, CUET, COMEDK, UNIGAUGE, or CET scores exempt candidates from JET.
- Step 5: Counselling - Qualified candidates are called for counselling rounds where they can select their preferred specialization and campus based on merit rank and availability.
- Step 6: Provisional Admission - After counselling, candidates receive a provisional admission offer letter and must confirm their seat by paying the required fees within the stipulated deadline.
